Hey guys, I'm actually having a problem losing weight for my competition on June 8th. Last Monday I began to seriously diet and I was about 170. I'm shooting for the light weight class so I still need to lose about 20 pounds to make it down to 150. After dieting for only 5 days, I managed to lose about 4 pounds. So, after 1.5 weeks into my diet, I weighed myself today and was shocked to see the scale barely tip over at 170! What the fuck? My daily carb intake is barely 75g. My protein intake as about 300g, and I'm not eating any carbs after 1PM. I take some Flax seed in the AM and PM, and cardio in the AM for 1 hour.
Am I worrying too early considering I just started dieting? Should I decrease the carbs? At 75g of carbs/day my body is working efficient enough to the point where my strength has not suffered at all in the gym and I also have not been experiencing any carb/sugar cravings during the day, although at night I feel them. Perhaps decreasing the carbs is a good idea, but that might be too early since I got 6 weeks to go.
I'm not sure, to be honest, it's a first show for me. Any help from experienced competitors would be cool guys,
thanks,
SAF
