Competitors..whats' the most weight you have gained after a show?

One more thing to add..if by some miracle I can get my pec up to par and can actually train it HEAVY again I GUARENTEE I'll kick everyones ass again on the Ontario scene. There was a reason once why I was predicted to be a pro by all the 'bodybuilding experts' in Ontario who had seen me. I still have the same genetics I just need to get this pec healthy and I'll gladly remind everyone who forgot.

Ahhhhh...sounds like the old FlexBailey is back!

Well regardless of what happens best of luck on future compeititions , whether you cake walk your way to a pro card or not I hope everything goes well for you.

Interesting comments about the class winners , so you wouldn't happen to know the age of the LHW and HW winners would you? Do you think they are at a level1 again because they both failed to place at the provincials or something?

Also what you said about the HW winner being mediocre before and has got better , i can relate... I'm much better now then i was when I was getting ready for the level 1 last year. With another 10 months of off season i hope to make some bigger improvements and then show up with my all time best conditioning.

Hey SAF, lightweight is 154, so you really only have to lose about 8-10lbs. I just competed as a lightweight and I was fluctuating b/w 158-162 the last week of the show. I weighed in at exactly 150 after losing water on friday before the weigh-in friday night (1 40mg lasix in am & 1 25mg Hctz at noon).
BUT, if you are already ripped to fuck like everyone is saying, then you may not be able to get down to 154 without sacrificing muscle, so unlike what someone already said, just getting down to 150 will not make you look "SICK", it will make you look worse if you lose too much muscle. I would suggest just keeping your diet steady all the way in (actually probably increase carbs to about 150/dy), take your diuretics on the friday, and see wher you weigh in. By the way, keep your water as high as you can until you start the diuretics, then just sip (not even 1 500ml bottle from then until stage time).

I know what you mean. I dont think I would look good at 154 for the lightweight class. My weight has been fluctuating between 167-170 for the last 2 1/2 weeks. I lost fat and definitely got tighter and dry, but my weight barely changed, which leads me to believe that my protein intake of 360g/day is retaiing my muscle. In fact, I think I managed to put on some muscle because I military pressed 225 last night with no spot, and that's another record for me :D

I will probably continue what I am doing and show up at the show looking my best, regardless of the weight class I fall into.

I'm thinking about depleting myself to 25/g of carbs for 3 days and then loading up with low glycemic carbs such as pasta for 2 days in order to get a clear indication of how my body will react to this technique. Not everyone reacts the same to a deplete/load technique, so I think it would be in my best interest to test it out instead of waiting until the last minute and praying that everything proceeds accordingly. What do you think? Do you think it's too late to test it out? The show aint for another 5 weeks.

I remember the heavy and overall winner from the Level 1 show in Kingston when I was competing in level 2 at the same show. It was a big show and good quality. There was 13 men in the heavyweights and the top 4 were in pretty good shape. I assume since he was clearly holding water and about 15 lbs over weight he probably placed 7th or 8th.
I think this was the first show he finally got it together. As for the other guy I don't THINK he ever did the Ontario's. I have a feeling he was one of those guys that did one show and then took a few years off and decided to do another..but I'm not really sure.
Oh yeah you'll definitely be alot better than your previous shows with all the homework being done. I remember after my level 2 show just exploding in the shoulders and chest area. I felt like a total freak with the caps I was sporting. Although I know it's best not to I can't help but wonder what i'd look like hadn't I inujured my pec especially seeing how well training was going and how little juice I was doing.

Flexbailey, sweet bro. Very nice.

SAF, I dont understand why u wanna get down to around 150. Your fucking stacked at 170. I would go middle you look great.

I've always just gone by the mirror. I don't worry about weight classes. You may bust your ass getting down to light weight sacrificing some hard earned muscle only to realize the lightweight class was more competitive than the middleweights. Just go with where you look best and lets the chips fall where they may..I think that is the wise thing to do. Just my 2 cents..
