Competative Natural Bodybuilder

glennds said:
you look great str8 but i suspect you like posting that you are natural so everyone will accuse you of NOT being natural. then you can let us all know steroids don't interest you. never say never. :o.
lol are you a psycologist? I don't know about you, but I don't think that far ahead when initiating a conversation. But yes I can honestly say steroids never interest me and never will. I'm not against those who use... that's their choice. My reasoning is I am competitive on a national level right now in natural organizations... if I wanted to be competitive on a national level in the NPC I'd have to most likely use a dangerous amount of exogenous hormones. It's not worth it to me, if it's worth it to someone else... so be it.

As it says on my site... i'm not anti-steroid, i'm pro-natural.

Have you competed against John Hansen? :)

Looking back ... who were your bb role models?
i've done some of the shows he's done but i've never competed against him the same year in those shows. Hopefully I'll get my pro card this summer and have a chance to compete against many of the great natural pros... that's the goal anyway.

Hey bro, if you can get those kinds of results without gear, then stick around because I have a lot to learn from you. I've tinkered with a few mild cycles over the past year or two; but ultimately, I want to go natural. Right now I'm mostly just experimenting. Definitely stick around....props!

Hey Layne - congrats on your obvious hard work -- it really shows! I believe you are natty and it doens't take outstanding genetics to be an outstanding natural BB. It takes a lot of hard work and learning how to patiently train your body to respond in an optimized manner.

Congrats on your pursuit of this to the PhD level. I am in awe of people who pursue that because there is so much we have yet to learn about the amazing biochemical machine our bodies are. (LOL I pursued the physical sciences because I couldn't bring myself to dissect a cat in 11th grade... so I'm a software dork instead...)

Hope you hang around to help the EF'ers - even those who choose to cycle have to realize that AAS is only a SUPPLEMENT to an already optimized diet and training program.

Greetings. This is one of the forums I had never posted on before, some may know me, some not. I'm a mod at bodybuilding.com, mindandmuscle.net, fortifiediron.net, and fitnessandphysique message boards. I'm a competitive natural bodybuilding seeking my pro card this year in the WNBF & IFPA. I am also persuing my PhD in nutritional science specializing in amino acid metabolism & exercise, I have my BS in biochemistry. I also write for natural bodybuilding and fitness magazine, fitness & physique magazine, fitnessRX for men, and Planet Muscle magazine (article currently in print). I have my own site that is up and running but still needs a lot of work. Anyways, here are some photos from my last round of shows in 2004 and also some photos from a DVD i was in called "Prime Cuts" from USA Muscle

I haven't got my PhD yet... but I hope within a few years my body of research will allow me to receive it.
