CNN full of shit?

If this story is true, and I wouldn't doubt it with all the B.S. I've heard CNN reports w/out verifying the accuracy, then they deserve an asskicking themselves.

BTW, I received this through e-mail and some others may have as well.

CNN USING 1991 FOOTAGE of celebrating Palistinians to manipulate you (english)

I'd like to add some ideas from here, down south. There's an important point in the power of press, specifically the power of CNN. All around the world we are subjected to 3 or 4 huge news distributors, and one of them - as you well know - is CNN. Very well, I guess all of you have been seeing (just as I've been) images from this company. In particular,one set of images called my attencion: the Palestinians celebrating the bombing, out on the streets, eating some cake and making funny faces for the camera.

Well, THOSE IMAGES WERE SHOT BACK IN 1991!!! Those are images of Palestinians celebrating the invasion of Kuwait! It's simply unacceptable that a super-power of cumminications as ! CNN uses images which do not correspond to the reality in talking about so serious an issue. A teacher of mine, here in Brazil, has videotapes recorded in 1991, with the very same images; he's been sending emails to CNN, Globo (the major TV network in Brazil) and newspapers, denouncing what I myself classify as a
crime against the public opinion. If anyone of you has access to this kind of files, serch for it. In the meanwhile, I'll try to 'put my hands' on a copy of this tape.

But now, think for a moment about the impact of such images. Your people is hurt, emotionally fragile, and this kind broadcast have very high possibility of causing waves of anger and rage against Palestinians. It's simply irresponsible to show images such as those. Best regards, and the hope that everything is resolved for the best of all of us.

PLEASE DISTRIBUTE! WIDELY ..

I doubt that it is true because all the networks used the footage. Someone, like FoxNews, would have called them on it in a hurry. Besides, I don't think it was CNN footage, but AP footage. I could be wrong. I don't know, I'm just surmising.

I think the palestinians were celebrating, I think CNN DID use the old footage, I am not surprised at all. This type of propaganda shit happens all the time.

In the Gulf War, some of the supposed refugees, were really puppet figures.

If anyone is interested I'll post more info about the details of the refugee puppetheads to spur Americans into support for the Gulf War later on.

I believe it because I know of many instances of the same techniques being used in the past...nothing new..it's PROPAGANDA, just like they get in China or N. Vietnam.

Of course what surprises me is his comment today in which he said if the terrorists act up here more often he is going back to Iran. Hmmmm? The footage was NOT from a file, it was shot when the news reached them. the camera crews that were there were threatened that if they did not video tape them - their safety could not be secured.

It was squashed out of the media by a request from the White House to help in keeping the violence in the USA to a minimum.

While CNN isn't at the topof their game - many of the smaller independant reporting firms are. Use GOOGLE to search for the most recent articles on the "celebrations" they are planning.

No, you didn't, but "you people" is taken collectively...and since I posted the thread it's unlikely you were not referring to me.

Secondly, simply because there's a question mark at the end of your sentence means nothing. They most certainly sound like sarcasm. "Why are you people so quick to believe..." That's not asking IF we believe it, you were asking WHY we believe it. All I said was that I didn't believe it 100%...just that I wouldn't be surprised. I think the major point is..........DID the Palistinians celebrate when they found out thousands of Americans had been murdered in cold blood...........YES THEY DID!!! So who gives a rats ass if it was old footage, the Palistinian authority threatened cameramen there who filmed the celibrations so is it any wonder they used stock footage??
