Clomid...Oh Clomid, where are u?

Anti-estrogens and aromatase inhibitors do NOT stimulate testosterone production posy cycle.

1) Estrogen levels are lower post-cycle, not elevated.

2) LH levels return rapidly on their own, as estrogen and androgen levels are lower.

3) The suppressed T post cycle is due to atrophy of the testes, which causes them to respond poorly to LH.

I want it to really sink in. Anti-estrogen only prevent gyno from imbalanced estrogen/androgen ratio. Estrogen levels are lower post-cycle, not elevated.

So why do gains seem to "stick" better post cycle if you take clomid or nolva than if you don't? Would really like to understand this topic...

That hasn't been my experience. AE's alone are pretty much the same thing as nothing IME.

HCG is much more important.

Very simple... Antiestrogens do just as name implies. Blocks estrogen. They will not start back up your LH and FSH levels. Only block Estrogen.

Blocking estrogen does raise LH levels normally, but post cycle estrogen levels are lower than normal and LH rebounds quickly without help. The problem is not the level of LH, but the fact that the testes don't respond to it well for a while. You actually spend much of your post cycle window with normal or even high LH levels, and low test levels, without the help of anti-estrogens.

Bill has an article on this subject in the next issue of Mind and Muscle (The Magazine formerly known as Big Motherf*cker)
