Clomid conflict

I went to go see a new doctor the other day. Close friend of a close friend. This guy specializes in Aids patients as well as he has a regular practise. He is also 30 years young. Solid Dude! He prescribes alot of juice to the fags and is very well versed on steriods. Now we got to talking about recovery. He said HCG is a waiste and felt that clomid is most promising. However, he recommended that clomid should be takin' about 2 weeks before the end for 4 weeks at 50mg/day. I told him the Elite recipe for post cycle, and he felt his way makes more sense. He had articles supporting his theroy but was unable to locate them for me. What do you think? This guy is a no dumbie and I know he knows what he's rappin' about.

What do you think?

What were his reasons for saying HCG is a waste?

Is he going to try and find the articles?

Many studies show that if androgen levels are too highm clomid(or any anti-e) is ineffective at restoring HPTA. That is the reason its recommended until post cycle to start clomid. I for one would be interested in his articles.

Ya...I am an RN and deal with docs daily....some are great and a few don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. I hate to sound harsh but this guy doesn't know as much as he thinks....

H C G can be very helpful before a long cycle ends to bring testicular size back. Better yet use it at some time mid way or even all the way through the cycle at low doses in order to prevent testes shrinkage in the first place. If significant testes shrinkage occurs during a cycle then the testes will take much longer to respond to LH post cycle...its not rocket science.

The medical formula for reversing hypogonadalism in former steroid users is ALWAYS clomid and or Tamoxifen AND H C G .

I would recommend that you talk to an endochrinlogist as this guy is probably just a family doc...well meaning but misinformed.

Ya....clomid will not help reverse HPTA suppression during a cycle...no way bro.
What is can do is block estrogens affect on the hypothalamus and pituitary during a cycle but that is not the only thing that causes suppression....the main factor is high androgen levels and not high estrogen levels.

Over the years I have found that very few family practise docs know what the heck the are doing in regard to AAS. You have to really shop for a doctor who really understands. Dr Scuggs at www.newhopemed.com knows what he is talking about and clomid during a cycle is not part of his routine ...also he does think there is a place for H C G if testicular shrinkage has become an issue.

The only reason to use clomid during a cycle is to prevent gyno and thats it. t an Tamoxifen may have a little benefit on controlling bloat but arimidex is much better here.

I take nolvadex with all cycles as it helps somewhat with maintaining a decent cholesterol profile. Clomid will would in like matter.

That's why I put it to the boards

He stated that on several different patients he has measured test levels pre HCG, mid HCG and post HCG and found little or no difference in guys that did the HCG vs. guys that didn't.
I'm doing the Elite method for clomid. I just wanted to hear what kind of response I would get. I will still try to obtain those articles.
If your a BB'er and you happen to find yourself in Toronto someday, and you happen to have the AIDS, let me know I got a doctor that prescribes juice like it goin' outta style

That's what I figured everyone would say. He probably means HCG won't help with getting test back as directly as clomid does. He seems to be comparing HCG to clomid and not thinking outside of the box and combining the two.

Exactly - for clomid to be most effective testicular mass is required this is where HCG comes into play.
