Started CKD on Thursday @ 142.2.
Today I am down to 139.8. According to my Tanitta scale my BF has gone up 1.5%. I know that the weight loss is mostly water, but I am really concerned with the BF. Will this level out and eventually start coming down?

Also someting I was wondering about....I say you had coffee on there. Havent I read somewhere that caffiene will mess with ketosis due to it altering insulin uptake or something?
I drink at least 2 cups every morning with heavy cream while on CKD and it has never kncked me out of ketosis. I also drink lots of iced tea. I couldn't do CKD without the coffie and tea!Mr.X said:
Coffee does no such thing....it's a myth that was started a while back by health freaks that didn't want people to drink coffee. The only thing I've seen in studies is that caffeine reduces insulin sensitivity but on a MINOR scale - nothing major at all. As Flexygrl pointed out about the Dr. Pepper, it's the carbonation and artificial sweeteners that kick you out of ketosis, not the caffeine part - not usually that is. As far as cream in coffee, as long as it's reasonably under 5g carbs, you'll be fine.

Most of this stuff was written with men in mind, who don't have to deal with that kind of stuff. I know when I weigh myself weekly, I get very annoyed during those hormonal weeks when my weight isn't changing. I've found if I monitor my skinfolds and appearance and stay off the scale, I get less frustrated on my diet.
