CKD feel sick

I am 3 days into my CKD and i feel like TOTAL shit.... I woke up this morning and have a soar throat and feel sick. Is it from the diet or was i jsut getting sick anyway or was a mix of both..............? :( I am depressed and i am sick!!!!!!!!!! seems like i totally crashed cause my body is soo used to carbs i can't live with out them.........
 
yah i was on Ripped fuel but ran out so i started Xenadrine
i actually took the Xenadrine and wanted to sleep.... WOW i feel like shit

i actually took the Xenadrine and wanted to sleep today.... Let me just BITCH!!!!!!!!! I am depressed, i feel sick, i am sweating balls while i type this, my mouth tastes nasty, i do not even want to work out of jog, and i hate CKD!!!!!! Does it get any better!!! :bawling:

Dont discount the possibility (even probability) that you're actually just getting sick. Pound as much water as you can stomach, vitamin c, zinc and echinacea. It will minimize how long it lasts. If you doubt that it's just a bug, drop the diet, for chrissakes. You can try again when you feel better and if it starts to happen again, nix it or buck up and wade through it. Your choice.

it does suck bro...i'm entering week number two of my low carb diet...albeit my low carb diet is around 100 g per day. the first few days last week were hell. i was irritable, cranky and basically felt like shit. stick it out though, i have lost 3 lbs in one week, once your body gets used to it, it won't be so bad

I feel permanently quesy and have wicked headaches whenever I am in ketosis. My body does not seem to adapt. I went to 6 weeks on a CKD and never got over the sick feeling. Drop the diet for now and pick it up when you're feeling better. If it happens a second time then you know it's just the diet and you may feel better after a week or two, but you might not feel better. It can take 10 days to 2 weeks of solid ketosis before your body completely adjusts to burning ketones as it's main energy source. If you're doing CKD your body may never adapt completely...........
 
This is kinda wierd, but I feel 100% better while not eating carbs.

My allergies are not affecting me and I feel better in the gym because of it. I think that maybe I am allergic to something I am eating when I am eating carbs because as soon as I start eating carbs again I feel like crap again.

I have yet to feel one side affect other than the grumpiness sometimes. Not a single headache while in ketosis or any sickness. I am actually loving it because I haven't felt this good in a long time.

Goingto an allergy specialist in the next couple of weeks to find out if it is just an allergic reaction to something I am eating

Your probably like me - with low insulin tolerance or something
 
Well i feel better now i just noticed i am like a baby now LOL i get cranky around meal time when i am hungry but after i am full i am fine!! LOL I am sure i will wake up tomorrow and feel shitty.. :) i can't wait to get my Ketostix to see if i am actually in ketosis or pretending to be.... would it be possible after maybe 1 week of less then 20 carbs a day to start to introduce them back into the diet say to 100G's i miss my bread and Milk and stuff..... also this diet seems to get rid of weight fast does that mean as soon as u quit the diet it comes back even faster?
 
Dont remember were i got this info but I started taking magnesium and potassium and feel 1000 times better when on low carb also a multi vitamin.....something about electrolites. But it works also taking l-glutamine really helps with any cravings.
 
I think i read somewhere that l-glutamine knocks you out of ketosis. Ya better check on that one there.
 
What are Ketostix and how do you use them? Where can you buy them too? Do you piss on them or something and it checks the levels of amonia in your piss? I've never heard of them... tell me more... I'd like to know weather or not I'm in Ketosis... I barely eat any carbs

Ketostix or urinalysis strips are pissed on and change color depending on what level of Ketosis u are in. The color codes are on the side of the bottle. You can get them at any drug store for around $20 beind the pharmacy counter. As long as you show something positive, you are in ketosis, The larger amount of ketones doesn't always mean better. It might just mean you are dehydrated. So any positive reading is what you want to be at. I personally have tested only small amounts of ketones. Also, you will know you are in ketosis by your bad breath and your awful smelling piss. The piss kinda smells fatty almost, cuz you are passing the ketones through your urine. Hope this helps
