Okay here it is:
We just drove past it one day. We weren't looking for a new house, but I think we both kinda wanted a fresh start but hadn't said much. We were just exploring, driving around and saw it. We decided to stop and check it out. We laughed at the price, it was listed almost 70k too high we said. We got back to our house and later that night we decided we'd just call someone and check out the inside. We both fell in love with it instantly, Mitch made an offer a couple days later
It has been empty for over a year. It was a REO property in a great neighborhood, but obviously, it needs some work. Some trees need to be trimmed, some sod, new exterior siding, new deck, lots of remodeling inside. Which we are ready to do! It has so much potential I truly believe it will be gorgeous when we are done. We are both excited about all of the things we are going to do to this house. We are having the work done before we move in. We close next month. All it needs is some love!

Our homes are both like 1600 square feet. 4 people really use up every bit of that; we were on top of each other. This one has 4k square feet, 4 bedrooms, a dining room, study, living room, family room, finished basement, some other room downstairs and three bathrooms. We just need to almost totally remodel.
We both built the houses we are in so (at least I wasn't) aren't up for building another. We got a really really good deal on this house, have plenty of money to remodel it and still walk away ahead. Plenty of room if I get knocked up by accident
