I know this sounds paradoxical but I'm not talking about your neighborhood Chinese lunch buffet here. I'm talking about these great little chinese mix packets you can buy at the grocery store... Beef & Brocolli, Chow Mein, and my favorite Kung-Pao Chicken. Just gotta buy the meat and a couple veggies (and peanuts for the Kung-Pao) and it only takes about 10-15 minutes to cook. Served on a small bed of white rice... friggin delicious and damn good dieting food. Try it bros... I'm telling you... I've been eating this stuff for 2 meals each day for 2 weeks now and I've successfully lost about 4 lbs!

Shit! I meant Chop Suey not Chow Mein sorry. I don't know bro... true brown rice may be a little "better" but I wouldn't call white rice bad... I mean, it just tastes so much better to me that I'll sacrifice the 20 GI points if it means I'm more likely to stick to the diet long-term...

You gotta try this shit though bro seriously
 
I dunno about that - I'm Chinese, my mum cooks great Chinese meals, and they make me fat! Since I stopped eating that crap, I've lost weight :)

White rice is evil at dinner time! One reason why Asians always have that smooth look....

Just checked... only 280mg/serving. That's not a lot by any means considering that the young healthy male can safely have 2-3g/day. I'm telling you dude, try 'em

Man that's just how all Mom's are though... if I ask my mom to make me a protein shake with water I'm sure she'll end up adding stuff to it to somehow make it fattening lol... i.e. make it YOURSELF. And, IMHO the white rice at dinner thing is only true if you pile on a shitload onto your plate... I personally never eat more than 1/4 cup (uncooked) at one sitting. working great for me so far
 
Chinese food CAN be pretty good even when cutting if you chose what you eat: there a lot of foods with almost no fat, and few carbs

but industrial chinese food = plenty of fat, high GI carbs, sodium and MSG :mad:

Why is white rice bad? Besides the fact that its more processed than brown rice, it still has the same GI value that brown does.
