That happened to me once with my right glute. I was looking at the TV after taking the pin out and noticed something on the floor. I looked down towards the floor and was wondering what the red shit was all over. I started turning to my right. There was more there. Turned farther... more there. Then I looked instead of turning and saw a fountain of blood shooting about 6" out of the side of my glute. LOL. I freaked out. When I finally got over it I realized I had just sprayed blood all over my white carpet. Somehow that came out. Too funny to hear these stories. I thought it was just me. By the way... ever try explaining a blood stain that makes a big "0" on the floor to you girlfriend?

You came to the right conclusion. If you injected into a vein you would know...trust me.

You hit an artery if it squirted. This is the reason I have the alcohol pad ready in one hand while I pull the needle out with the other. I don't want to have to explain any blood stains in my house.

I once injected into my glute and when I aspirated I noticed a large air bubble enter the syringe. I pulled the syringe out but the needle came off and stayed in my glute. It was funny looking because blood started pumping out of the needle! I think I did not have the needle on tight enough and air got in that way which would also account for the pieces seperating. Got blood all over my carpet!! I give them an extra twist every time now.

dude, get straight to a hospital asap!!! most likely you will have to have that leg amputated, but go so you can save your other one. lol j/k, happens to me from time to time. now my goal is to see if I can beat my old record of 3ft 4", hehe
