Bout damn time... LOL
Gonna take a PT certification course in a few weeks. I've been looking around for one but can't seem to get on schedule... or they want an arm and a leg to teach what prolly most I can learn here or on the web and give me a piece of paper saying I attended.
My main reason for this is a friend of mine is opening up a gym and would like me to do some PT work for him there. I am way underqualified... I know.. but between now and next year when the gym is supposed to be in full swing I will be reading my ass off... and taking courses. He doesn't require a any certifications but I'd like to be able to train at two different gyms.... one of which does require them and also requires Continuing Education.
The gym I attend now is hosting the class and is only taking 10 students. The price is easy on the check book and they let me in ... woohoo..
The program covers a review of anatomy and kinesiology, screening procedures, basic fitness testing, basic spotting techniques, designing fitness programs and program maintenance.
