Caught a cold mid-cycle - need suggestions...

So I am in the middle of my cycle, and the wife gives me a nice head cold. I am a 24 hour snot making machine. Nose clogged up, sore throat, cough, hacking up green stuff, can't sleep, you get the idea.

I have been pounding Vitamin C, zinc, green tea extract, and echinechea. Any suggestions on other supps or foods or vodoo or something that will lessen the effects so I can get back to 100% workouts?

I started taking proviron 4 days ago - is it just wishful thinking that this stuff will dry me out - meaning dry out my sinuses?? Probably is...

I skipped yesterday - just felt too horrible, but I am pushing the iron tonight, one way or the other.

Suggestions are appreciated.

that sucks man. if your not bed-ridden, i'd lift. i've lifted when i was sick and nothing out of the norm happened. just had to keep going to the bathroom to blow my nose. workout went well actually.
 
Bro see your Doc you may have a sinus infection. I have had one since the beginning of the month and have been on antibiotics since then. It sucks but the only way you will get better is taking antibiotics
 
This may sound stupid but it helped me a lot. If you have a sauna at your gym sit in it until you have water pouring out of you. Its takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Do that every day and keep up with the green tea... it rid me of the flu!
 
The Vitanime C is just a waste. It will do nothing to help your cold. Too many people believe it will, but it dose nothing to aid immune function. See a doc. you my havr a sinus infection and you could try some sudafed it's great for sinus.
 
That sucks Steve. Ive been watching your posts. I heard someone say vit c does nothing. I disagree, get ester c & zinc and dose up. It should help a little if its just a cold. Hang in there. Stay the course.
 
Happend to me more than a few times. If I take off 3 or 4 days from the gym I will come back just as strong. Keep on your cycle as planned and it will keep you from losing size and strength. What you need is rest.
 
I always seem to catch something when i'm on. Just remember this a little work out is better than NO workout.

If it's a minor cold, then take some meds and get through your workouts, but don't go all out. If it's a bad cold, then stay home and gety PLENTY of rest and water, do get as lots of rest and water though even if you're hitting the gym.
