Cardio Post-workout for cutting?

i am currently at 15% BF..

my diet is resonably good, high carbs, moderate protein, low fat

i was wondering if doing 10 mins of cardio post work will aid in reducing my BF% whilst still making muscle gains..

thanks

I dont find any cardo after my weight training works. My body is already screaming for nutrients I pretty much leave the gym once I wrap up my last rep.

If your schedule or body allows, try early morning cardio. Right after you wake up, 30-45 minutes of HIIT cardio will show results fairly quick if you are not accustomed to this type of workout.

The general rule is to hit your heart rate range for burning fat for 45 minutes. I mix up my cardio but I prefer to hit 160-170bpm for 45 minutes. Do some searches for heart rate training and you'll come up with some good stuff. Some people do not recommend hitting so much cardio but my metabolism is slow.

Also, your diet needs to be tweaked. Low carb, high protein is better than high carb, moderate protein for losing fat while keeping muscle mass.

A typical diet can be your BMR less 500 calories. At my age that is roughly 1800 calories. I'll consume roughly:

250g protein (1000 calories)
100g carbs (400 calories)
44g fat (400 calories)

I usually rotate my carbs. I'll have one low day below 50g, then two-three days at 100, then back down to 50. I also have a cheat day where I pretty much eat what I want.

Just my 2 cc's

I think the links in the training info sticky listed under Cardio get the job done. Both of them can be completed in 10-15 min.

on paper post workout cardio looks good.
but in practice for many it does not seem to yield great results and may lead to over training.

it is much better to do cardio on "cardio days"
and also first thing in the AM on empty
