cardio & ckd diet

I just started doing the ckd, and I teach step classes twice a week and a sculpting class once a week. I also like to do 30 min. of cardio twice a week on my own, would this be too much cardio on this diet along with lifting 3x's a week? I don't want to overtrain and feel wiped out on this plan esp. since theres 0 carbs M-F. What ECA's are you taking for energy, my energy has been soo low,I also have a 2yr. and a 4 yr. old to take care of all day. Any 'Suggestions????

Thanx,
Mrs. JNUTS :)

You'll most likely lose more muscle than usual if you do that much cardio. You'll also find yourself tiring very quickly come Wed/Thurs, so make sure that you take an ECA before you teach your classes or you won't be able to keep up with your students! And actually, you should be cutting carbs starting Sunday morning, so you have under 20 carbs from Sun-Fri.

A good ECA is Hydroxycut b/c it contains HCA and it curbs my appetite. I have a hard time keeping my calories low Sun-Tues, so it's most effective those days. Starting Wed, you should already be in ketosis so you won't be as hungry.

Drink lots of water!

Thanx, I'll try and just do cardio whaen I teach, the classes are not too high intesity but maybe I'll get my cardio out of the classes and nix it other than that, as I'm trying to gain muscle not chew it up. I need to change my mind set and focus more on the weights.

I'll try Hydroxycut because right now I'm counting down the 2 hrs. to eat again!!!

High Intensity Interval Training. Like... sprint for 30sec, jog for 30sec, sprint, jog, etc. It gets rough, but it's highly effective.

I'm on my third week of CKD, and honestly, I don't notice a damn bit of difference. I actually think i'm getting fatter, I dunno. I'm doing everything to a T. Even counting calories. There's no loss of fat in my stomach, which is kinda pissing me off. I almost up and quit today b/c I was so tired and woke up from a 2 hour nap, gagging at the thought of my next plate of bacon. Plus I just brought home a bunch of cakes, muffins, and bread from Starbucks where I work that we had to throw out, and that's all I could think about. Just get plenty of rest or you'll seriously feel like crap.

I'm still goin strong though.....

Skip your carb up this weekend. I've had a similar problem in the past. Skip it, but be a little more lenient w/what you eat and bump up your calories a bit this weekend, and you should notice fat loss early next week. However, if you still lose nothing and everything is in place, a ketogenic diet might not be for you. Good luck

Is it maybe b/c the fat on your stomach is the last to go? My water weight fluctuates like crazy, so some days I'll look gross, while others I'll look like I'm actually losing some fat. It's hard to explain what my abs look like... I can see the top 2, but not the bottom 4. It just looks sloppy. I can see my obliques just fine. But I'm not vascular at all. No veins in the biceps or shoulders unless I'm in the middle of working out. So I'm really trying hard to drop this fat. I think I might kick up the cardio a bit. And being lenient on the weekends won't mess things up? I mean, if I continue what I'm eating now, but just add more carbs, won't that kick me out of ketosis? And then those fatty foods will just make me fatter? Also, do I do a depletion workout on Friday/Saturday as well, with no carb up?

No carb up = no depletion workout, and by being more lenient on the weekends I meant not counting calories, not adding carbs. Example, I usually eat alot of peanuts on the weekends, totaling maybe 40 - 50g carbs total, and I can stay in ketosis. It depends on the person, but this works for me. I'll give you a better answer later, i', tired and can't think straight.
