2Thick Elite Mentor Platinum Jul 23, 2002 #3 When leaning out, it is the timing of the carb intake that is much more important. I try to get most of my carbs in the morning before noon. Then, I only get a large carb boost after my workout. I avoid any carbs within 6 hours of bedtime.
