Different types of pasta options

I've been against carbs for quite a while now but I want to start increasing them because I've seen a lot of people have success. I want to use pasta to my advantage as I do come from an Italian background. What kind of pasta do you recommend? Do you recommend vegetable pasta, rice pasta, flour pasta, or egg pasta or is there a different type of pasta that I don't know about?

Agree with above pasta isn't the best carb option but if you have to have it id stick to egg pasta its made with way more egg so at least there is some protein and generally uses a portion of semolina flour
Home made is best hard to find quality shop bought
Vegetable pasta is good macro wise but generally tastes crap and has a different texture
If you make it yourself add 1 egg per 100g of flour so 6 eggs to 600gr flour still carb heavy
Eat it during the day not at night so you have time to burn the carbs and its not sitting in your stomach when you go to bed

I use this one that you pick up from Woolworths if your in Oz.
Less carbs and higher in protein.
