Carb Cycling & AAS?

Hey Bro's,

Im wondering if anyone can add input -

Im on a 10 week Tren/ Prop cycle with 4 weeks left. I have been on a CKD the last 6 weeks with one day a week carb bulk. I have been gaining OK but my muscles are now really flat and I feel I am compromising gains.

On no cab days I am eating High protein (2-2.5g) and high good fats. I attain ketosis quite easily.

I just switched to 3 days no carbs/ 1 day carb bulk. Im looking to gain lean mass and lose moderate amounts of weight. I have already gained about 9lbs lean mass on this cycle. I am running an ECA stack alongside, and have ephedrine on way, which I will probably start after PCT as I believe it worksbetter with a Kcal defecit.

Im wondering if anyone has tried this diet, or has tried a variation, ie 2 days no carbs, 1 day moderate carbs, one day high carbs?

When I load I avoid fat, start off with a meal containing high GI, then low GI food (ie oats/ yams) the rest of the day. No fructose.


Any input appreciated.
 
ive never done it on aas, but I've gotten good results natty.. I maintain on pretty low carbs 150-200 a day.. now that I am on cycle i am taking about 250g of carbs and even more on the weekends.. My volume is like two fold what it was, and i'm on my first week..

I'd like to hear more about this.. I plan to diet mid cycle to cut back some.. Otherwise its DNP for the last 2 weeks on cycle with just prop at 50mg ED.. :P ezpz
 
my cycle as of late is:

day 1: 80 grams carbs
day 2: 0 g carbs
day 3; 0 g carbs
day 4: 300 g carbs
day 5: 0 g carbs
day 6: 80 g carbs
day 7: 500 to 600 g carbs

Hey Tim,

Thats exactly what I was wondering - what is the benefit of adding the one medium carb day as opposed to 2 0 carbs and one load?
 
Also, are bro's hitting very high fats on no carb days - are you aimong for ketosis?

It takes me 24 hours now to hit keto which gives me 48 hours of fat burning in a 4 day period.
 
experiment and see what works for you. i have this schedule because it works well for me after trying a few variations.

i have high fats on 0 carb days. 70 to 80 grams a day.

Was just wondering what the logic was behing tapering low/ medium and high carbs. I take it on your medium carb day you cut fat?
 
You will comproise gains with 3 days without carbs. You are better to be running 3 days carb bulk one day carb free. Carbs are the BBers first source of energy & energy in the gym = growth.

yea, i cut the fats to about 35 to 40 g a day.

the logic is to keep the metabolism up. consistent low carbs, for me, make me feel very lethargic and flat. with this schedule i still drop fat at an even pace and never lose strength or fullness.
 
Tim sounds good,

I feel awesome + big after a carb bulk and flaccid on 0 carbs.

Rodney - the only problem with one day ) carbs is that I wont attain Ketosis.
 
How do you take in zero carbs, even protein powder has a few carbs? What are your meals for the zero carb days?

Gotcha. I'd like to hear more about this, in the last 8 weeks I've went from 270lbs to 230lbs by taking in around 100-150 carbs a day. But I seem to be stuck at this weight, thinking of trying carb cycling. Can you give me a example of how your meals would be on the zero days? Thanks.

Tren 125mg eod
Prop 100mg eod
ECA

Day 1-3 - No carbs


7am - Whey protein shake + Tbsp Natural Peanut Butter + 10mg Flax caps + 5mg fish oil

9am - chicken breast

11am - 50g almonds

1am - 150g beef + tbs NPB

3 pm - salmon fillet

5 pm - 50g almonds + whey shake

TRAIN (10g Arganine)

7pm - PWO Whey protein shake + 10g BCAA + 10g Glutamine

7.30 - chicken breast + vegetable (brocolli etc)

9.30 - 6 boiled eggs (3 yokes) + 50g almonds

11am - Whey shake + Tbsp NPB + 10mg Flax caps (its good to add these oils before bed as they act as a time release for the protein while you sleep).



Day 4 - CARB UP....


-Eat high levels of carbs with Low GI (ie yams/ pasta/ noodles) for 12 hours. Cut the fats on this day as it will be stored.
-NO FRUITS/ FRUCTOSE - this will replace glygogen in the liver and stop ketosis for an extra day or so.
-Start loading after a heavy workout - the aim is to deplete the muscles af glycogen before loading.



I think Im gonna change and have the 3rd day moderate carbs and the 4th day carb load
 
Is it better to start a Ketosis Diet prior to adding any Anabolics and once you start the Anabolics to cycle carbs or to stick with the Ketosis Diet throughout?

What are you using for BCAA/EAA, I'm looking for something with no stimulants. You do this 'diet' for 2 days, then load up on the 3rd? How much fat on the carb days, minimal? I assume on the low carb days you try to hit 90-100g of fat? The calories make a big jump like that..think it hinders fat loss, or promotes growth?

I need to do something, I'm up 10lbs and lost my abs, and I'm on Tren? Wtf.. I am eating a ridiculous amount more of carbs and I think I'm a weee bit bloated from the Cyp..

Its 3 days no carbs and one day carb loading - however I am considering a moderate cab day on the 3rd day (80g) and a carb load on the 4th.

Defo take BCAA and glutamine - they are pure protein sources and will; make a pronounced difference.

Correct - low fats on carb days, hight fats (good fats) on no carbs days.

kGt Ketostix from the chemist - they will tell you when you are in Ketosis.

The carb jum shopuld be fine - carbs with low GI will replenish the glycogen which has been drained from muscles, keeping them full.

From what I can gather the overfall effect is kick starting the metabolism. You should do well off this + you will be carring water which will go post cycle.
