As I was heading to my car after a workout at the gym, I noticed a 2' long key matk across the drivers side door. The key mark looks like it was applied with a great amount of pressure, due to the deepness of the damage. By the way, the car is a Lamborghini Diablo. Why would anyone do this to a work of art?:(
 
According to this guy, he drive a Porsche, Lamborghini, and a Jeep Wrangler. He changes the story everytime he posts. Oh yea, and he makes millions of dollars ever year. :lmao:
 
I have a friend that makes several million a year in investment banking. no biggie.

I just find it amusing that one would drive that car as a daily driver.

hell, get an M3 and use that as your daily driver, or on the other hand, if you do take out the expensive shit, take into account the dicks of the world and don't be surprised when they do shit like that.

that said, I prefer the new marenello (sp?)

I never get why anyone would drive a sweet car around if they know that they will have to publically park it. hell, even valets dick with the car.
If I could afford one, I'm not sure I would want to drive it unless it was from my house, around the area, and then back home. too freaked of someone fucking it up.

that said, if you can truly afford one of those, then scratached paint should be all part of the expected wear and tear on it.

you could always hire someone to just stand there with a shotgun while you are inside.

when my dad was at VTech, he was friends with Bruce Smith. Bruce then went on to the pros, and when he came back someone keyed his car.
Everyone freaked out and wanted to find the guy and lynch him, and Bruce just laughed and said to calm down, it wasn't worth it - it was just a scratch that could be fixed.
 
Happy Scrappy, the scratch can be fixed. However, what really upsets me is that someone would intentionally damage anothers property without any justification. Especially when the property in question is a Diablo.:D

Whether or not 7figureman really has a diablo is anyone's guess, but I can believe someone would drive one to the gym.

There's a red diablo that's always in the parking lot of the Bally's at Pima and Shea, in Scottsdale, AZ. ...haven't figured out yet who owns it. Prolly one of the rich housewives that lurk there.
 
there was a guy that had a Diablo near where I used to work.
if the weather was warm, he was outside washing it.
it was just down the street from a lot of biotech and any number of tech startups - he was faily young - in his 30s, but his house sucked, aside from location - so I would guess maybe he cashed out some options and then got a car he really wanted.
never saw him actually drive it - but I don't blame him - the roads around here would fuck that up quickly.

you rarely see nice cars (over $100K) around here since the roads are so fucked up - you are better of getting a "beater" like a 7 series or something that still reads as "I am rich, worhsip me" but you can drive it over potholes or parallel park it and not fuck it up.
 
Happy Scrappy, I agree with you that cars like the Diablo are very unpractical. However, I love the performance aspects of exotics. What is your opinion of the M5. It seems like this car is the best of both worlds in terms of performance and practicality.

I do know it's easy to make 7 figs. as an investment banker, it's also easy to bs on a chat board.........wether you do either is anyone's guess, i don't care, but i do feel for you on the car.....it's gotta be expected though. little pricks.

Whenever I see a Diablo.. I usually key it or kick in the door. I don't do it because I'm jealous, I do it to give it some character... rich folk don't know how to have fun...

I figure, after I key it, the rich guy can tell stories of how he was driving through a jungle wilderness with his Diablo and was attacked by native pigmies.. the scratches came from the spears.

the M5 rules - great daily driver (although not so hot in the snow, but better than the Diablo :) )
I personally think that it has some retarded ergonomic issues on the inside - but that's a BMW issue - some find it bad, others obviously get over that and just like the fact that they are driving a BMW.
just the internittant wiper switch alone... ugh.
