About the book--if you look past how poorly it was written, and i mean poorly, you see a guy who is incredibly self-concious and has low self esteem. I don't think he is really that cocky at all, I honeslty think that he is trying soothe his own pain and "trick" himself into believing he has confidence. I could go on and on, but I will spare you my psychoanalysis.
