Everyone here calling him a rat is correct. Then again... If you asked your buddies to help you out and back you up and they turned their backs on you... what would you do? The only people he ratted out in the book were the guys who's careers he helped. When he needed a try out with a team he called all of them and asked them to see what they could do. They did nothing. Looks like they got what they had coming!
If you think Conseco ruined the game. Wait until you see the book that is in the works from the DR in South Carolina we keep hearing about. He is talking about naming other DR's and exposing all the players he worked with. Beyond that he is saying he will expose what a joke the NFL's testing program is.

Interesting point about the Nandrolone. In the BALCO transcripts a lot of the players were saying that they were using that until Conte told them the detectability time made it insane. So if all the guys were using it... how come nobody was testing posititive? Recent evidence suggests that people are and have been... yet... the results were being flushed down the toilet!

I think it's fine that he wrote his book and went public with the gear use. I just don't think he should've named specific people. I thought it was really funny when the media was all up in arms about McGwire's use of prohormones. People still bash creatine too. I think our education system really needs some work.
