He had great talent, and if not for a freak accident, could still be playing both sports.... Bo Jackson. Thats all I ever heard in the early '90's. Bo this and Bo that. What about now?

I will date myself on this one, but I remember pitcher Mark Frydrich (sp). The Big Bird. Did all sorts of crazy shit on the mound, and threw some burner pitches, but a shoulder or arm injury ruined that career.

Maybe for what happened after he retired, but while he was playing he was an awesome running back. One of the best for sure which includes Jim Brown, Gayle Sayres, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Eric Dickerson, and my all time favorite, Earl Campbell.

One more to the list. I can't remember his name, but he was another big blond guy. An excellent player in college, but when he was drafted by Seattle Seahawks, he threw a tantrum and basically refused to play good ball during his contract. Seattle smelled an albatross and cut their losses.

This guy is now making B-movies in Lesser Hollywood.

Tyson........ he is still fighting
Gooden........ He is right there with Straw
Otis Nixon..... I never thought of him as a superstar
Will "The Thrill"......well a soft body like his only goes so far I guess
Todd Marinovich.... Yep a sad case also but only played 1 or 2 yrs pro I think
Bill Buckner?????? LMAO He played 22 yrs and had a career .289 avg...... just cuz his one fuck up on a ground ball that my 5 yr old tee-ball playing son could have fielded is what he will be always be known for I don't put him in the biggest disappoinment category though
