Can Lunesta cause Gyno?

i had my 2nd gyno surgery yesterday, same spot, first one was in 03 neither was from steroids...i asked the doc why it might have come back n he said it could have been many things n theres no way to know but a guy at my gym told me the sleep drug i take lunesta can fuck with your hormones and cause it? any truth to this?

The best think to do would be ask a pharmasist they know there shit,i have ask them many question over the years.It seen this sleeping drug on tv,and i don't know how it might affect the estrogen levels.Best of luck!

yes.

in clinical trials 1/30 got gyno from the 2mg dose, though none got it with the 3mg dose (so likely those 1/30 were part of a senstivive population that was not present in the other trial)

i take the 3mg dose and the first time i got it it had just gotten progressively worse from puberty so im probably sensitive to it

Holy smokes! Are you all kidding me with this? Actually, I know you're not because I just did a search on-line and sure enough, gyno is listed as a side effect for Lunesta, along with decreased libido! So that means it raises estrogen levels?? Crap! I've been taking Lunesta for 2 years now.... that explains things... does anyone know if any other sleep-aids or benzo's have this side-effect as well?

do you take it all the time? my sleep is fucked beyond belief, i dont know why, but i dont take it every day, maybe 2-3 times a week...regardless, it works awesome but if its gonna keep giving me gyno and lower my test and sex drive, id rather be tired

well, I used to take it more frequently...at least 4-5 times a week.... now I rotate it with other sleep aids, including ambien, diazepam, temazepam... I don't want my body to build-up a tolerance to any one drug (because it will)

ambien sucks i hated it, didnt work....as far as tolerance goes i know lunesta is non habit forming so u cant get hooked but i dont know if u can or cant build a tolerance to it

They all start to suck after a while....not to mention the nasty hangovers.... there's a newer sleep-aid (Rozerem?) that's supposed to be non-habit-forming and it's approved for long-term use... what's one more pill to try? *grin*
