Can I cook A's 2gF kit? Other baking qustions.

I've heard a lot about guys cooking their Fina to sterilize it, but A's 2gF kit didn't need cooking and there in nothing in the directions I found about it. His kit just uses a sterile filter. I think you can bake his EZ kit, but I got the regular 2gF kit.

I think I want to cook mine to try to lower the alcohol content. I believe that might be what is making my injections sites sore. From what I know about baking (and I could be way off), I would bake at 250 for 10 minutes, out for 5, bake for 10, out for 5, bake for 10. Also I'd have to have an 18 gauge needle stuck through the stopper for venting.

I guess my main questions are:
Will the rubber stopper in A's kit stand up to the heat?
Will the plastic in the end of the needle used for venting stand up to the heat? (I'd hate to melt something and ruin my batch. I'd be fucked then)
Do I simply place the vial on a cookie sheet?
How long, what temp, and how many heat/cool rotations do I do?

Fro - forget about baking. Draw up what you are going to shoot into a syringe and remove the pin. Prop up in the microwave and nuke for 15 seconds time three cycles. Let cool and you're gold.

Remove the rubber stopper and place a piece of tin foil over the top and heat it. It will give you some added protection and buy some time. All home made fina eventually becomes to contaminated for injection. The heating process will give the solution some additional time before it goes bad.

Corn - Are you fucking serious? That doesn't sound like the smartest thing to do.

LONE_AZ - I think I'd rather leave the rubber stopper in.

I'm deadly serious.

Try it.

First off baking doesnt kill bacteria, it is the cycling of hot and cold so if you bake it you need to do so and let it cool and repeat 3 times. Its not needed either.

As for baking off alcohol, here are some things to consider. First off, BA has a boiling point of over 400f so baking it wont get ride of alcohol. Secondly, the BA in in there for a reason. oil alone can only suspend about 25-30mg/ml. With that in mind, if you did bake off some alcohol you would likely have tren fall out of suspension and settle on the bottom of the vial.

True on the Bp, but I get ZERO pain when I nuke mine.

Depends on whom you talk to. At 250 for 10 minutes you are going to kill off a some bacteria(not a proven fact my educated opinon). Heat is and always will be the best sterilization technique. It is obvious that too much heat will destroy the integrity of the solution and to little does nothing. The question is how much and how much does it effect the potency of the material you are heating. For that I do not have an answer. I heat it everytime and have never had anyone have any problems with infection or potency of the solution. Better safe than sorry. So decide for yourself. Everyone has different opinions.

Not as concerned with sterility as I am reducing injection pain. It's not intolerable, but a pain in the ass. Get it? That's a joke son. *aside* That boy's about as sharp as a bowling ball.
