Hi,
I'm 26yo, 184lbs. 5'10''
I've been working out for years and seem to have hit a plataeu.
My aim is to build muscle and lose bodyfat as i have a bit around my waist and chest. I've been lifting pretty light and concentrating on form. I want to get serious now. I'm constructing a new workout pattern and increasing my food intake.

The problem is, i dont seem to be able to lift heavy at all.
I dont know what my bests are
Bench Press: Usually 40kg....can prob do around 75kg
Squat (Barbell only,no spotter) Usually 35kg...can prob to 60kg but anything above need spotter or rack.

I was wondering what sort of advice someone can give me on any enhancements i can take or you would recommend?

Like i said, i have never EVER looked into this side of bodybuilding and dont have a clue so this is part of my research.

Thanks guys

I'd get your diet/nutrition dialed before you contemplated stepping into the darkside. Start with CEE from anafit.com. Great stuff.

You've hit a plateau because your workouts are a mess. Lifting light will get you nowhere. Lift really freaking heavy and you'll be jacked.

Yeah ... supplements etc might help you a little and give you a little mental edge but whats lacking most is clearly training intensity. Not trying to be an ass but for a guy with a seemilngly decent frame or base those are VERY light lifts (mine @13). Start adding the weight on and stay away from the machines for a while. Also, if your program is something like upper body one day and legs the next youll have to change that to a 3 day split or something so you can hit the specific body parts harder. Should be able to double those lifts naturally and hit 200lbs ... then reconsider the sauce.

thanks guy's - did some research - before i 'turn to the darkside' - i'm gonna increase my food and try 5x5's

supplements arent diet/nutrition. get your real diet sorted out first, read through posts on what kind of macronutrient ratios/calories you should be getting and ask questions about that first before doing supps.
