Calf as injection site.

Hi,wondering if it`s acceptable to use the calf muscles for oil based gear 1cc or less at a time.
Thanks for any info.

I've known some people that have had some bad experiences with that particular injection site. Ask Radar. . .what ever he says. . .DO IT.

Just keep it to 1-1.5cc's of fairly painless gear and you should be fine. I made the mistake of shooting 2cc's of testolent( test PP) in my calf.... couldn't walk normally for 2 damn weeks!

I'd stay away from calf injections, here's a post by Genarr3

Injecting into the calf has unique risk that most people arent aware of. The problem is that there are numerous veins below the knee that empty to the popliteal vein (A DEEP VEIN). Some of you may read my posts on cardiac test I run injecting air into the vein to assess cardiac structure and that is not a problem if you get an air bubble in the vein. But This is slightly different if you inject through and damage or inject enough to compress a calf vein, then the blood flow may be interrupted enough to cause clot formation. The lowerlegs are not that good at moving blood and leave them vulnerable to clot. I had a young pt that had a stroke that formed in his calf b/c of trauma from a surfboard hitting the back of his leg and travelled up his vascular system across a small hole in his heart and up to the brain. This can also cause clot to form and the leg will swell and usually feel warm to the touch. THe clot can literally grow up the calf veins into the deep veins called DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS. NBC reporter David Bloom died of that in Iraq when clot travelled up to his lungs and kills nearly as much as heart attacks in th US. Shooting in the calf can put you at a small risk for this and should avoided. If your leg is swollen go to your doctor or ER. They'll do a test called a leg venous duplex to rule out clot. Basically they use ultrasound to see of there is clot in the calves, I used to do it all the time and is noninvasive. Do ayourself a favor, if its swollen, warm to the touch, and some redness then get it checked out. Dont inject into the calf, the risk is small, but its not worth the risk, Ive seen people get these from sittin too long, long airplane rides, etc...It does happen.

I have hit calves with no problem. Maybe because they are the size of a Honeybaked ham.....lol...Then I do a quad shot and the damn thing almost crippled me....

I use my calves all the time with great results but i do inject very slow nothing bigger than a 25g 1".Once i did a 23g hurt like a SOB,felt like i was putting a pen through my leg.I would also say just like with any injection make sure and asperate the needle wich is especially important with calves. Also buy yourself an anatomy chart, make sure you know where your nerves are once you hit them in your calves you'll know why the chart is so important.Hope this helps Bro

too many other places much safter than messing with calves!

Big RADAR does have a point theres alot safer places,my reason for useing them for site injection was they were lagging extremely. For me it was worth the risk, but it is a RISK.

I would ONLY use calf's for site injections for suspention and winstrol.... maybe sustenon....

j/k..... I would avoid calf injections unless you either

a) enjoy NOT walking
b) have a HIGH tolerance to pain and discomfort..

go for the thighs they are the best for inj in my opinion but everyone is different i just like being able to use both hands easily and have a good view of what im doing especially with these BD syringes i cant one hand aspirate these for some reason think my hands are to big or something :(

Thanks to all who responded-------------based on the info you all submitted,i will more than likely be looking at other injection sites.Apparently, there are too many veins and arteries below the knees to try and avoid not poking.
