I'm having some serious pain in the tendon that runs from my left elbow to my forearm...I've been out of th gym for 10 days now trying to let it recover...the last time I was in the gym ..I was doing incline flys with 80lb dumbells...he pain had gotten to the point that I dropped the iron twice when I was trying to roll the dumbell from hanging posisiton to pressing position......It's a weird burning sensation that will ache for days even when I'm relaxing....has anyone exprienced anything like this?? I allways use wrist wraps .....but have strayed away from wrist straps due to forearm retardation......40 is just around the corner for me...perhaps this is just the begining stages of geriatric colapse........any help would be appreciated..

I'm currently going through the same thing, been happening for about a month and a half. Even when I pick up little stuff it hurts now. I almost wish the tendon would just snap so I can go have surgery on it. This pain is annoying!

I think I'm going to try a compression strap for the tendon if it helps..I'll let you know.....

MRI only way you can check to see if tendon is okay..

10 days is a long time.. go to a doctor

You've strained the tendon most likely. The sheath gets inflamed and swells a little bit. This puts pressure on the nerves running in the same corridor. Try taking Ibuprofen spread out over the day and icing it. Mine flare up every now and again and make training impossible. Also make sure you rest it as much as possible from all activities not just lifting.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Om a totally unrelated issue, I just got asn MRI ordered from a hand sureon for my left hand pain. He thinks it's coming from my left shoulder region and the nerve or something is getting pinched or obstructed. Results haven't come in yet.

Who knows, it may or may not be something like you guys are experiencing. I haven't lifted in a few months though. But it could still be residual issues from that.

good luck man.

MRI took 45 long ass minutes! You have to lie still for the whole time. They stick something in your arm with a needle for contrast or something. It's called with and without contrast MRI. I did it a few days ago. It sucked.

lol deca may be good on tendons but it won't heal a torn one! See a doctor you could be making things way worse.. nothing is worse than a reinjury

Start at lower weight and go up on weight with each set.
I had similar tendinitis about a year ago. I stopped working out that part for about a month. Then I went back and above system worked for me.

I have tendinitis in both shoulders, worse on the right. Yesterday, my first set with right shoulder was so painful that I stopped. But I went back and every subsequent set (with more weight) was less painful. My last two sets were at full weight and pain was almost tolerable.

Try it. It may work for you too.

Thanks for all the advice good bros......an after thought the pain started about 3 weeks after finishing a heavy deca cycle.....I probably injured it during the cycle and the Deca covered it untill it left my system.....

I'm having similiar problems......ever done GH? When I come back from vacation I"m going to start GH plus alot of Glu&Chn. Rest is always key, but if it keeps coming back even after rest, than you may have hit the upper limit of the strength of that tendon/ligament. I think that's what's happened to me.....never used GH, just AAS. So I think my muscle strength has finally eclipsed my tendon strength.

You may be right....I dropped 125lbs off my deads and used a compression strap on my forearm....got through back and bicep workout after 10 days off without too much pain other than a dull ache all night.....RedSam only AAS here never HGH.....but I'm about 60 lbs over my natural weight maybe you have a point.....my bench has gone up 200 lbs from when I first started training 20 years ago......

Please do, I'll try anything to get this pain to go away.

Puddlemonkey and other good bros with tendon pain...here is a link for the compression strap I've been using and it really helps the pain alot....I know it shows it for a knee but it adjusts for the foream..put it about 1" in front of the bend of your elbow with the compession filament across the tendon on top of your forearm and you will be amazed at the difference you will feel..

I wish I would have started mild GH use in my late teens, early 20's.....would have built a better base for future growth.
