That is NOT weird, or odd, it's very unique, special and b.e.a.u.tiful ...

It's there Beauts .. you just have to believe ... wishing, prayers, positive reinforcement, in WHATEVER FORM you choose helps and telling yourself DAILY you are worth it, you WILL suceed, you WILL overcome ... the mind is VERY powerful ... I will spend the rest of my likfe trying to hone in & use it to it's greatest capacity while I am able to ... :rose:

You CAN do it ... it will take a little time ... you'll get there.. :) That is really NOTHING compared to what I did last year... You should read my old sprint workouts & stair/Toboggan hill runs ... OMG ... got shredded up wicked quick & one heck of a nice tush outta it :) Just gels when I'm bulking .. not so pretty lol :verygood:

It's been a long time ... My teeth are really pretty white but I often get tooth aches .. esp in one area that I need to be addressed ... my tooth 'shifts' back & forth & sometimes feels like I have food stuck under there .. even AFTER I floss , then it's gone... To add to that ... I was told the stress in my life (this was pre "C") brought on what may be TMJ, and during that period I was chattering my teeth when I slept at times (dang emotional $41T, so yes I am 'mental' :FRlol: ) ... although I don't chat/grind etc anymore, I can hear feel & sense my jaw joints may be out of alignment.

So I'm trying all remedies to ease this, without having to consider the surgery route...

Hey, Bunn's! I use to be a claims processor at Aetna and I have a little insight to TMJ. Have you tried a night guard yet? Basically what football players where while in the game.

You DO NOT want that surgery. We're talkin' some mulah! I sometimes have to consciously make myself UNCLENCH my jaw. I started getting some effects (sharp pains in my jaw and tooth aches) and now I've trained myself NOT to even touch my upper and lower teeth together. It's helped TREMENDOUSLY. I do it without even realizing it now.

MASSAGE for TMJ!!!!!!! Dead serious! I actually was trained on it. Look for a therapist in the area. The disc that slips out that clicks with TMJ the body can repair because it is vascular. You need someone to work and loosen up the muscles outside as well as inside the mouth. SERIOUSLY! I have TMJ and it has worked wonders for me, plus decrease in migraines. I get that grinding the teeth at night thing too!

Honestly that is NOTHING compared to the sprints I did last summer, in this log SOMEWHERE ... usually super'd with bleacher running, stairs, PWO of course... or really early in the AM on a nice summer day when it's still dark... sprinting til the sun rose & birds were chirping ...Ahh man THOSE were the days ... I miss them.

I will tell you that you do NOT (beginner) say "I''m going to do 10 sprints, 40 yards, at 100% max FULL effort..." You will feel this, maybe not the next day, next week, but even a month of hip flexors HATING you & unable to walk ... kinda :)

You need to warm up sprint, progression sprints ... and the recovery is just as important as the sprint!!!

Very ROUGH example ...and your FORM is KEY and must be perfect to get full benefit, not just running like a mad woman, those come later :)

Heel to butt jogs - (you can start at 20 yards and work your way up) X 2
High Knees X 2 (again slow warm up & STRETCH)
40 % max effort jog/run X 2
60 % max effort run
80% and prolly STOP here


I can get into more detail when I have time to write it out morre...

Sometimes I have 2 marks ... a start and a finish
Sometimes I use the 3-4 garbage cans at the forest preserve.. i.e. slow jog to one can ... run to 2nd ... sprint to 3 and run it out until 4

Walk back & repeat til you puke ... :)

I get really creative with this stuff ... you come back by me, I'll take you one morning :)
 
Last night at the gym, the high school crew was there... takin up space, the string beans hanging with the 'leader of the pack' dude ... standing in front of me when I'm trying to focus on form and SEE the muscles working ... I never get frustrated usually but I was about to throw the DB at two of the kids and say "Do you mind, I'm training here?!?!?"

Anyway .. The two stronger guys of the group, one of which was about 5'5, the other 5'6 ish started grabbing the DBs for some chest ... first was the 80s I think ... eventually picked up the 100's for some Incline Bench ... ripped um out... **BOOM** weights dropping everywhere with every set... grabs the 105's.... same thing... grabs the 110's, 5 reps full ROM, I mean I could NOT believe it... I have to ask how long it took him to work up to 110's.... when he told me he was 16 y.o. I almost shite....his friend was 'just turned' 17 ...

I sat there and watched, little pressure of course :evil: , better not arch that back ... better get those full ROM, 5 reps ... I have never seen that in this gym ... from a friggin 16 year old...

Your doing great even if those scales are not tipping, as long as u are happy with the cutting up and the FAT loss and muscle GAIN thats great! Im so happy when i read a post that realizes the scale is not the judge, the mirror is =]

Ab-so-fuggin-lutely... I can honestly care less about the scale right now, the more it drops, the more worried I am I'm losing muscle.. the BF tracking states otherwise... but I am realistic and know that will taper.. but like we said before, enjoy it while it lasts right? :)

I cannot believe I ever let a scale, the number, EVER crush me ... wtf was I thinking ... lesson learned!

This was the VERY FIRST post I laid my eyes on this morning, and it came at the right time. When I stopped bulking, I was at 128 & 14%. I weighed in this AM and I'm 125 & 12.5%. I was scratching my head I little wondering if I'm still putting on muscle even though I'm cutting now.....it's definitely looking that way. :)


....and YES - I FINALLY DID MY AM CARDIO!!!!!!! :twirl:

Yup I am with ya'll on staying away from the scale for a while and relying COMPLETELY on the mirror and on how I feel each day... because last time I got on scale it scared me so I haven't been back since although my clothes aren't quite as snug as they had got! :)

Thank you GG ... Honestly, as long as I am working at this current job & in my current situation I do not want to compete... If things work out as I want them to, I will someday ... I just don't see that happening anytime soon ... I have a little under 3 1/2 years left for full "doc ok'd remission" given nothing 'comes back', nothing else decided to 'show up', etc... I'm in a rough place right now... so I'm chuggin' along ... with a smile ... trying to stay positive, but I MUST be realistic here or I cannot sleep at night... so if that ever happens for me, I will definitely consider my options ... hopefully I am able to do something (i.e. a job) I love some day and make some money from it ... we'll see if it's in my cards :heart:

does your camera have an auto function...? most digicams do...

Hey Aries! Thanks girl :) It's actually pretty nice out right now, cool breeze, great running weather ... but I'm spent ... and have a migraine ... eating then going to bed, train in the A.M. the hit the P's (Maybe?) not sure.. I have to go the gym by their house, as my new one is closed :)

I was going to break in the couch lol, & flip on the tele .. I haven't watch TV in forever.. I sat on the couch today & passed out for a nap (at my P's) .. I don't take naps ... oh well... have a great holiday T :)

I have to go to a spa and have my lady spray it on me, not the auto spray booth type tans .. she mixes up a color that looks really nice on me, and not orangey ... hard with the hair color (red), but it's been lightening all by itself, so coloring looks a little better. :)

usually lasts about 1-2 weeks, depending on my YES usage .. shave, shower exfoliation etc will take it off VERY fast :)
