Bulking cycle progress

New member
Hi everyone. I have been off gym for about 18 months and lost 35 pounds during this period. Now i am back with a bulking cycle.
50 mg danabol ds / day week 1 to 5
500 mg sustanon / week
400 mg deca / week
25 mg proviron / day
I will run this cycle for 10 weeks.
I am in the end of week 2 now and gained 9 pounds up to now (from 176 pound to 185). I am 6 feet tall.
My objective is to bulk up to 230 pounds then cut down to a lean 200. Any advise from the experienced here that would help achieve my objectives would be appertiated. Do you guys think i can reach the 230 by the end of week 10?

I don't know your history but, IMO, you should train for at least 6 months (more like a year) before getting back on the gear. Not the only oppinion in the world, I'm sure. There are alot of reasons which, if your an experienced lifter, you already know - chance of damaging tendons/joints, becoming dependent on gear for progress, etc.

I agree, and did you seriously just say 230? You think you can gain 55lbs in one cycle and not have it be 90 percent fat and bloat. The 9lbs your up is most likely all water. Don't try to go too hard too fast. You'll just end up sloppy. Trust me I've done it and it doesn't turn out good.

You can easily hit that number.. But the scale is not a very good indicator of progress...
How strong are your lifts coming back compared to where you left off (in the big 3 lifts). This is a very good indicator of wheather or not you are ready to benefit from a cycle.. Also take into mind your natural genetic potentials...growth wise and strength wise...
If you don't know the answers to those questions... You definately are not ready and will waste juice just to get you to a point you could probably get to just as fast naturally...

So your saying it would be easy to put on 55 lbs in 10 wks?

My very 1st cycle was dbol, sust and deca.. I put on 45lbs in 12weeks.. however it was mostly water. If you do put on 50lbs then expect to lose more than half of it.. your body just cannot put on that much muscle in such a short ammount of time..your going.to be disappointed and deca comes with a whole host of sides that if not controlled properly can really fuck with you..

Thank you guys for the replies i agree that it's not easy to hit that 230 in 10 weeks cycle and if so it'll be lot of water. What can i do to minimize that water gains and maximize lean gains. I do 15 to 20 minutes cardio on a daily basis.
My lifts are:
Ddlft 220
Bench 160
Squats 240

My bench have always been weak even when i was at my best.

Get a good AI, have perfect diet and a good pct and those are your best chances of making and keeping gains.. dbol deca and sust will bloat you big time buy don't mistake bloat for muscle.. you seem to be over estimations what steroids can do..

Well it seems you missed the entire point of my post but whatever...
I'm sure he can gain a lot of weight that cycle is just asking for a shitton of bloat...

Gotcha i still think for me that would not be an easy task. The most i gained in a cycle was 35lbs and i was force feeding the shit out of myself. It was almost all fat and bloat. What a waste lol

no such thing as gaining 55 pounds of muscle on a cycle. no such thing as gaining 20 either. or even 10.. before you use steroids you need to improve your fitness IQ if you believe you can put on more than even 5 pounds of real muscle mass in 10 weeks.

it has taken me years to gain 20 pounds of muscle mass while keeping my body fat the same. you don't just gain it like magic. OP, you are a classic example of someone who wants fast results.. when you get involved with fast money, fast women, fast men (whatever your preference) it always ends in disaster.. you said it yourself you lost 35 pounds cause you quit the gym. 6 foot and 176 pounds benching 180 pounds is beyond weak. i would say spend the next 3 or 4 years lifting naturally.. build a proper base. and then worry about steroids. this is my advice although i doubt you will listen..

all that is gonna happen under your plan is you put on a bunch of water and fat and then lose it all back after and are left where you started. and on top of that your joints and soft tissues will take a pounding in the process cause you are gonna be lifting heavier weight with no base under you. also my other best advice is to forget the scale, it means nothing.. you did NOT gain 9 pounds of anything except water and a little fat in a week.. give me a break. the scale is lying to you

i also hate the word 'bulking' ... you see that term on youtube a lot with guys who claim they are bulking when they are not. when you stack a bunch of aromatizing compounds and your estradiol goes to 400 that isn't bulking.. that is just you turning into a bloated turkey before it gets slaughtered ahead of thanksgiving that has been given a bunch of hormones, water, and salt injections to make it look bigger than it is so they can sell it for more money. its the same people who claim tren isn't a good mass builder because it doesn't aromatize

^ Best post of this entire thread. I agree 100% with it. People too often look at the scale as an indicator of muscle gain. Anybody can gain 15-20 lbs on a cycle, but how much actual muscle tissue is gained is much much less than most imagine. You have to go into these cycles with realistic expectations, and realize that it takes A LONG TIME to build a great physique.

Ok so I do feel better only gaining 4-5 total pounds in 10 weeks. I was afraid something was way off hearing about all those 10-20 lbs gains.

That doesn't mean only gaining 4-5 lbs total on cycle. I was referring to gaining 4-5 lbs of muscle. In order for that to happen you would probably have to gain 10-20 lbs total on cycle accounting for extra water, glycogen, and fat gained.

No I understood, at most i went up 10lbs with added BF by cycles end however by the end of PCT I was much closer to intial BF with an added 5lb. I'd say a little more than 2lbs lbm of gain.

Tnx for replies guys. It seems that all the replies share the same opinion (fast gaining = water gains) i agree. We all agree but we still seek fast results. IMO bodybuilding
Is all about seeing your physic transforming to the better. I just can't go 3 to 4 years natural (like the brother said) coz i know i'll stay the same size. I know freinds lifting naturally for years and they stay the same size. And gaining water/muscle equation is known to bodybuilders. Maximizing your gains = maximizing that portion of muscles your left with at the end.

bottom line.. fast gains=hard to keep.. slow gains= easy to keep.

i'm glad the OP is getting it

and to maddox its not important what you gain on cycle.. its important what you keep. its like a poker player who wins 1K on monday at the tables and brags about it.. but he fails to mention he went back in on tuesday and lost 1200.

You can gain natural though. And it instills the kind of all out struggle you need to keep the bodybuilding lifestyle going throughout your life. I lifted over 12 years before even doing a PH and gained 40 pounds while staying lean. I think back on all the meals, 2 1/2 pounds of chicken, meat, or fish everyday for years on end. It is a beautiful thing....
