Browser Font All Weird... How do I Change it Back?

i dont' know what happened, but the font on my internet explorer got all screwed up. it's almost bigger and uglier. how can i switch this back? the screen resolution hasn't changed, so that's not the problem. must be some sort of setting that was messed up?? how did this happen and how can i fix it? thanks
