broke my fibula

I was jus about to start a 5x5 program, but now i cant because i broke my fibula bein a playmaker in football against SRJC. HOw should i change my training? About a week ago i did 75lb dumbells 6 times for sitting DB military press, i tried it yesterday and i did 65x8. IM jus confused on what i should work out now

I honestly think you shouldn't be working out at all, why give more stress to the body if healing a broken bone is taking away so much energy from you...? Eat right, don't drink coca-cola mixed with lemon and don't eat spinachs... both not good for the healing process of the bones... Up your clean food!

You can do some workouts but don't go crazy with the weights, no work until failure either.

Bone breaks affect your entire system, your body will not respond the same way. I broke mine yours ago and it took a year to heal. I would just take 6 months off so I could heal fast and get back to it.JMO

The responsible thing WOULD BE TO TAKE TIME OFF. However, 3 years ago I had a serious bone contusion on my femur at the hip-joint ( I know it's not the same as a break) and I was on crutches, but I still made my way into the gym for lat pull downs, DB shoulder press, and machine chest presses

alright thanks, i think ill do some upper body once in a while but if i chose not to would it take long for me to get back up to my strength before i hurt my leg once i start working out again?

No woories bro if your strong before you will get there faster and even get stronger, it's called "muscle memory".

don't be impatient man, many worse things have happened to many other people. Time is your best ally. Use it to heal and gain knowledge.

I ruptured my Achilles this weekend, so I'm in a similar situation you're in but most likely with a longer recovery time. I'
m planing to do as much upper body work as possible but split things up a bit more.

thanks i think im jus gonna let it heal since i care more about possibly injuring myself again in football rather than a little stregnth or size. im gonna be researching instead about macronutrients, hypertrophy, etc etc..

SHould i be eating the same? i want to keep size but if im not working out excess calories are gonna be fat, i have a fast metabolism but im not gonna be excercising at all
