Brock

This thread title reminded me of Ohio. I moved to Ohio in 6th grade. Total misery. To say it was a culture shock would be a grave understatement.

Anyway, I went to Walnut Springs Middle School (lolololol). The king of the school was a kid named "Brock". I had to ask about 10 times what his real name was before someone was like "Dude, Brock is his fucking name". Really? Brock?

Apparently dude was mad skilled skater. he looked like he was 25

oh bro......not westerville!!!..... :worried:

I think Barack Obama should have changed his name to Brock Obama. He'd be home free now.

ouch!! and I complain about Akron/cleveland........ :dodgy:

We lasted 9 months there. Mother was completely miserable as was Pops. Westerville was not ready for some east coast guineas up in that biyatch.

I enjoyed it tho. People were really friendly, let you play in their yards and shit. Lots of fights tho, since there was nothing to do around there. The big thing back then was to carry penny rolls wrapped in electrical tape. Put em in your fist and it makes your punch even more powerful.

Silly kids

My fiance is actually his cousin. Not that that means anything. Anyway, I think he'll do well. Don't know if he should face Frank Mir this soon, but I wish him the best.

It's better to build guys slower with one dimensional fighters. Brock has only had one fight in a ring with a guy sporting a losing record against mediocre competition. Frank Mir is too experienced and versatile and most of Frank's fight have been in a cage, not a ring.

That's what I am afraid of. I truly believe that after a couple years of real cage experience, Brock will be a serious force in MMA. That being said, for Dana White to throw him to the wolves against a former champion either speaks volumes about their confidence in Lesnar or they are trying to cash in as much as possible.

I agree that they should have made his debut against someone with far less experience. Maybe against a heavyweight from The Ultimate Fighter series.

As I said in another thread, the real questions are how well can Brock take a punch and how well he can defend submissions on the ground. Even though he has been training for 2 straight years plus the tremendous collegiate wrestling experience and freakish athleticism, I'm just not sure if he can hang with someone of Mir's level and experience.

But another variable is Mir's lack of motivation/determination in the octogon since his motorcycle accident.

I'm rooting for Brock Lesnar though because I truly believe he could be the next model for heavyweight MMA fighters
