Britney and her kids

Do you think Britney deserved to lose custody of her two kids?
She's a real mess for sure, but why would a judge take kids away from their mother?
I'm asking cause a friend of mind has a kid (whom he never sees) and the mother is a loser welfare case who has had 4 kids for 3 different men. One of her kids she had by the 14 yr old boy she had babysitting her 9 yr old daughter.
Now she married some guy from Nigeria and is preggies with his kid.
And yet she gets to keep her kids?
Not sure I get this


I'm home bored today and am pondering very unimportant issues so amuse me
 
Take them away?? Is it a given that the kids are the property of their Mother?

She was a flipped out drug addict. Why on earth, other than the fact who she was married to, would she have access to them to begin with??
 
I'm procratinating from doing research on my project, but way ahead of power curve, and a little bored too blue... but I never followed the britney case, all I know is that it kinda makes me greatful I'm not famous and have all that money that young... cause man, it just seems like the fate is inevitable that your life becomes unbalanced... having all that access to a bunch of shiny but meaningless shit, and meaningless relationships based on fame, I dunno... I think my shit would come unbalanced as well... I think maybe the threat of losing her kids, and with the best shrinks money can buy she's got an opportunity to really get solid... but I think she should have her kids back if she passes all the evaluations and can stay clean... I dunno even what drugs she abused...

agreed and agreed, that is why I said why does a judge take her kids but my friends ex has 4 kids with all these diff men, is on welfare, has strange men in the house and screws a 14 yr old boy and has his baby, yet no one took her kids away?!

That lifestyle must be brutal, but she was never given the tools to make the right choices.
I don't follow the case but just saw something on tv about it and was thinking.
I didn't know she abused drugs, I thought she was bi polar?

She's so far from a pig. She's a young girl with no guidance. If she were in her late 30's and doing this, then I would have to agree.
I actually think she's a good person with bad judgement.

She needs help is all y'all
 
I had no idea she was bi polar... messy man, tough psych illness to battle, cause they don't like taking their meds cause especially with artisitc types ,when they are going through the manic phase, creativity is shot through the roof... and since her living is made that way, you can almost see the reasoning... I'm not bipolar, but since most of them hate taking their meds and would rather go along for the rollercoaster ride than being numbed out... as they claim, their should be reservations... its amazing though the creativity of some when they are in the manic phase...

how many times has she been seen, post pregancies, dressed like a stripper on a 4 day meth binge, with kids in tow?

shes a hot mess of white trash garbage. she deserves what has happened to her. if i had unlimited cash, i wouldnt ruin my life like she did. i feel zero sympathy for multimillionaires who cant handle their shit. zero. she can come live a life in my shoes for a day. she would never last!
 
Back then she was pretty out of control. She seems to have finally got her shit together since her dad stepped in. I think she deserves them back now. I hardly ever hear anything about her now and that is good! She is really starting to look great again too like the old Britney.

Being wealthy does equate to having class or mental health
Many girls walk around w/out undies, she just happens to have a pap in her face 24/7 waiting for her to mess up.
Now having said all that, she's mentally ill not trash.
I bet she would be a stronger girl if she has a "normal" life like you.

Garbage are people who hurt others for fun. She's far from garbage.

I don't know about the whole mentally ill angle. She was seriously abusing coke and extacy. That shit rewires people.

Because 1 of 2 things has to happen. First a PS case has to be filed, and 9 times out of 10 nobody does it. Second (the most difficult thing) you have to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the kids are indeed "suffering".

My wife is a social worker and some of the stories I hear are just down right sick. :worried:

x took months for my brain to recover after a few years of use. all got back on track though after 6 to 7 months.

One girl I know who I did some animal rescue work with was a social worker and she told me some nightmare stories. It's hard to believe how sick humans can be.
I'm wondering why the mother of this 14 yr old boy didn't report her. Most people love to live with their heads in the sand

I'm sure 99.9% of cases where kids are taken away it's justified

Yes. Then there are the people who would be great parents and only wish to have a child and they can't do to fertility issues.

And she's had some time to recover. You probably had a bunch of people supporting you with the random douche that would try to get you using again. She has the press and all of her haters (most of which don't know shit about her other than what's published) digging up every bit of mud they can find. Not to mention a very public divorce and custody battle. I hate her music and I think she's pretty classless, but it seems like she's taking steps in the right direction.

met my future wife. thats all it took to stop. she helped me through the rough spell though. you are correct.

Right, unless one parent is actively trying to get custody.

Britney was involved in a custody battle with K-Fed.
They had joint custody, he wanted sole custody because Britney was going bat shit bananas (and maybe because he'd get child support too???).
The court found that it would be in the best interest of the kids for Britney to lose physical custody until she got her shit together (like Velvett).
So K-Fed "won" and got the kids.
I don't remember hearing anything about any child support orders though. But I don't watch Inside Edition so I might be out of the loop.

Blue - I doubt that the fathers of your friend's baby-mama are tying to get custody of the kids. If your friend wants to see the kid he could try and get a court order to have more visitation rights, or try and get full custody of his kid.

The government wont get involved unless the kids are being seriously abused or neglected.
But like Fozzy said, things might be different in Canada.
