I'm going to back any new group that is composed of people who actually LIKE the site and are not going to cry when we make changes...

I may even be able to get it set up in the admin panel where the members of the user group get an automatic weekly dose of K just for being a member. Kind of like the Plat renewal does... AND an attractive 10,000 Karma sign on bonus.

How many people have cancelled??? I got 5 cancellations over the Karma changes so far... When you put that against the number of NEW Plat orders in the past couple of days, it really doesn't seem like a problem or a "mistake"...
People bitched about the Platinum when we introduced it, they bitched about the Bombs, bitch about the Karma store... There is absolutely nothing we can change or add to the site without having somebody be upset about it and somebody else threaten to cancel their membership over it.
That’s just the way it goes, so we have to just stick to our guns and do what we think will help the site thrive. Never mind what a few people have to say about it. EF is not going to fall because a few C&C regulars get upset and threaten to leave (none of them ever really do anyway).
We have to do our thing, we have to plan for the future of the site. We can't fold at the first sign of resistance, we have to stay the course and keep trucking. We know where we are going and the direction we want to take the site. You guys can either get mad and leave, or stick around and enjoy all that is to come.

Btw - you can make it less painfull for us and make us a bit less miserable over the karma if you just make the K system deduct some percentage of our hit, not the whole thing

- You get a new shot of Green every time your membership renews. You can always win more Karma when you win a bookie event or play the tables.

Truly, I think the few people with millions of karma points (while it's fun to accumulate but like monopoly money means nothing in the real world BTW) think that by bitching, moaning, complaining, they are going to have some big impact on the business plan of this site.

We love our members and hope that everybody would want to stay and keep supporting EF, but if they don't... Sorry, we are not going to stop working on improving the site. We are not going to stop making changes to make EF better for the future. We have a vision, we are going to stick to it because our livelihoods depend on it. We love our members and want to make the site better and more enjoyable for all of our members, even the ones that haven’t even heard about us yet…. This is why we can’t stop moving forward over what 20-30 guys on C&C have to say about our business changes.

It just seems like you don't care what the few people who have the balls to voice their opinion to admin have to say because the rest of the sheep will continue to pay while turning a blind eye as to what is going on with the site.
Listen, it's not all about ass-kissing and brown-nosing. I can't believe you actually just said that. So you basically want a bunch of spineless, do as you say, keep their mouths shut members? What does that say about EF? That we're soft and easy to mold? What ever happened to the "most hardcore site on the net?"
You have people who are willing to bend over backwards for the site...and yes I'm going to use myself for an example. Do I bitch to the admin? Hell yes I do, but if people like me didn't how would you know where you stand? Do I support EF? Hell yes, I absolutely love most of the new features except the ones where you restrict and remove existing features.
If you purchased a V8 car, and a few months down the road the manufacturer removed 2 cylinders while you slept because it was better for the entire US population's health in the long run, wouldn't you be pissed? Of course. Would you complain knowing nothing would come of it? That depends on what kind of person you are.
I'm not bashing the site, EF is amazingly fun, informative and rich in diversity...and I endorse it to people I meet in person all the time...but I really think admin should change it's general attitude toward each and every members. Don't say you want a new breed of members. Instead, take the time to appreciate those who have been around for the long haul and contributed to the site. I know you are starting to get annoyed by what I have to say, but there's nothing you can say that will make me forget how much I bring to this forum, especially to the well-oiled machine I call the bookie forum.
And just as a reminder...I DO appreciate how EF has been trying to cater to everyone's needs, and not just 1 group of people...the karma casino is pretty neat, and I'm pumped about the bookie upgrades, and I'm excited about seeing what else is up George's sleeve...
