Bowling for Columbine is a movie worth watching

I enjoyed it and thought it made great points. There were contradictions tho.

In the same film he is shocked over the murder rate, and he is shocked over how the media pretends its dangerous.

Anyway, the whole fear factor thing was spot on.
The whole "Home defence" Idea cracks me up in the first place.
You get people with a loaded M16 in their home saying they need it to protect themselves-

from what?

a burglar. the guy is 60 years old, hes never had a burglar in his home in his life. Also burglars arent the boogie man. Theyre crappy unprofessional smalltime criminals looking for something to nick, who shit their pants even thinking about having to kill someone. ID rather have a fucker rob my house than fire a full automatic in my home. Seriously, what is going to do more damage?

And your not even allowed by law to shoot him.

Ive never had a burglar in my home, neither has anyone in my family. Its so fucking paranoid. What kind of life you got if in your own home, you have to lock the doors and keep a loaded gun at hand?

From what THAT person has deemed harmful, no one is asking YOU to determine the needs of all individuals...thank God. That is the definition of liberty, something that I know a marxist detests, the freedom to choose their own justified actions without coercion or restriction, not the ability of the masses to determine what the individual should or should not have.

Really?? In all cases?? Please wake up to reality and not the fantasy that you have created in your mind. Murders occur everyday from your "unprofessional smalltime criminals". The idea only has to be logical to justify it, not the empirical evidence. All one has to know is that a man CAN kill another man in the action of breaking into his home, not that a man has killed another during this type of action.

ID rather have a fucker rob my house than fire a full automatic in my home. Seriously, what is going to do more damage?

That is your right. Now why do you think that it is your right to condescend another's actions that are totally within justification?

And your not even allowed by law to shoot him.

Shitty country you live in.

Lucky for you. What kind of life is it when you cannot defend yourself, when the situation arises? What kind of government do you have that does not allow you to defend that which is most precious to you, your life?

If you think that the only threat you need to defend your home against are bumbling burglars, do a search on home invasions. As for not being allowed by law to shoot...that's debatable. As soon as there is a risk posed by the intruder, you may fire away. Still, as insurance, it doesn't hurt to have a crappy little untraceable black-market revolver on hand at the hacienda, so you can plant it in the SOB's hand before the cops get there. Legal problem solved. I believe in the right to defend one's home and family by any and all means necessary.

Home invasion trauma is such a minor risk it is completely irrelevant when held next to real dangers such as traffic accidents, coconuts falling from palms, Hippo bites.

Its a paranoid irrational fear. Statistically, so few people get hurt in their home by somebody invading it. And I bet most of them had some kind of business with the perp.

I dont make enemies. thats childish.

No matter what the statistics, it is a risk. What does it matter to you that another wishes to protect himself.

Every word, completely wrong.

The probability of it happening is almost completely irrelevant. If somebody broke into my house I would shoot him without any guilt.
