Botox

I'm a middle aged male considering Botox just on the side of the eyes to prevent further crow's feet. Good idea? Bad idea? Does it change your smile (since you can't squint)? Is it really restorative to the crow's feet or does it just prevent further damage?

BAD idea. be a man and age gracefully. you are probably only one who is worried about your lines and crows feet. other people probably think it suits you as a man.

I love Botox. I treat men and women of all ages and once you see the results it can get a little addicting.

Crow's feet area will have no effect on your smile or any facial expressions. You will still be able to squint, make faces, etc. it's just that the skin won't wrinkle up when you do it. People always come in worried that they will look frozen, that's the furthest thing from the truth. My first time with Botox I feared that too but it's just not true. After the injections, about 1 week the wrinkle lines will start to fade as they are no longer able to scruntch up. If your wriknle lines are really deep then you might want to consider getting some restylane to fill them out to achieve more younger looking skin.

Botox is not a permanent solution. If you should happen to not like the way it makes you look it wears off in 3-6 months. It costs about $350-$500 to do the crow's feet. When looking to purchase the procedure be sure to ask how many units your getting for your money. Botox gets diluted and some docs dilute too much to stretch their cost. One area like the crows feet typically gets 20 units maybe a little more. If they don't tell you how many units your getting they are diluting so go elsewhere.

Hope this helps!

My wife gets Botox and it makes her feel better about herself. So if you want to do it then go for it!!! Why not fight the aging process before you need a facelift?

I am 49 and my wife is 37. I can't afford to do because I pay for her's, but I do get the supplements I want. So she has a younger looking face and I have a younger looking body!!!!!

Why bad idea?? As long as he goes to a certified plastic surgeon or Doctor, then there shouldn't be any problems with the Botox.....

And if it makes him feel better about himself & can afford it, then why not???

Screw it bro! If it makes you feel better about yourself go for it! If you don't like it then don't go back when it wears off! I'm only 26 and i'm already visiting this awesome Doc who is helping me fight of the aging process early! I don't know about going under the knife...thats a little scary for me...but injectables...yellz yeah!

don't waste your time with botox.

get bio-alcamid or pmma doen in tijuana. www.clinicestetica.com

it's permanent, and it's what many la people use now to put baby fat in their faces and look younger. Way better than all that surgery shit. I've seen 35 y/o's look 23 after a few sessions.

I think people should do what makes them feel better. it is not perm. , so just try it and if you don't like it...just don't do it again!

bad idea because it will make him look like he has had botox, not younger. women can use makeup to conceal these kinds of things, men can't.

what's he gonna do, run around worrying about his wrinkles every time his botox wears off in 3 months?

then what? a creepy face lift? soon he'll look like kenny rogers. all freaky and unnatural, but NOT younger looking.

LMAO at Kenny Rogers.......Have you seen Mickey Rourke?? Now that is scary!!

At least with Botox - if it looks unnatural or freaky, it DOES wear off.....so it's not permanent....and the only thing I understand about how it looks is that you can't "scrunch up" where they injected it cuz that muscle is now paralyzed....

It doesn't look unatural if you have it done by someone who knows what they are doing. What Botox does is paralyze the muscle underneath the skin which releases the wrinkles. You do lose your ability to flex those muscles fopr about a week or so but it slowly goes away. I have had it applied to the wrinkles I was starting to get in my forehead. Why?! Because I didn't like the oncoming look of a veteran WWE wrestler. It last about 3-5 months and is painless. Well worth the money I spent having it done. It can make you look way less stressed and way more refreshed. I have also had it done around the crows feet around my eyes to relax them.

I really want to get this done. I'm 36 and have wrinkles on my forehead and between my eyebrows. The rest of my face looks young, except the marionette lines. What does one do about those?

Botox is a wonder drug, with a skilled Dr. you wont look fake, like some of these crazy botox stories you hear about.

Permanent has its ups and downs, i know a lady that had a Dr. that seemed great, personable, knowledgable etc... He oh so fucked up her lip injections, her upper lip was HUGE and disporportioned.

So ultimately its up to you, but i would go for it, if it really bothers you, since the only person that ultimately matters when it comes to yourself is generally yourself.

what is manly about crows feet? just what does the phrase, 'be a man' mean? another whole thread topic. I swear by the botox; twice a year takes care of the crows feet beginnings and the little lines in the forehead. Be a man and dont lt that little 27gauge needle scare you. A couple pin pricks later and you will have knocked 5-10 years off the face. And, you can still smile, frown and make faces...your wife/GF/partner will still notice when you are about ready to cum....! LOL

Amen!

Personally - I say go for it !

I got botox a few years ago for massive migraines ....In my case - the migraines happened to create a large deep crease in my forehead from frowning all the time -- from the pain -- from the light.
Well - aside from the benefits of the migraine pain relief .... my forehead muscles relaxed - and I looked healthy - not stressed or in pain.

It was a great feeling to see my forehead look like the rest of me felt -- young and healthy.

I have since gotten it a few times - each time it lasts longer in my case (this isnt always so)

But not once has anyone said I look fake - or stunned - or plastic --
its a great healthy natural look -

and ...... if you want to get it done to make yourself feel better - go for it.

Just rememeber to see a DOCTOR ---- in some places they even let nurses inject for "cosmetic reasons" .... dont run the risk - make sure its a doctor - and get a referral if you can. Nothing is better than someone who can speak from experience to tell you if the doctor knows what they are doing.

Enjoy. (and ..... yes - you can still smile and show expressions ...... unless you have a MAJOR amount of botox inected ala Hollywood style)

at age 44 i got some lines on my face (course i am blessed with good skin :o so they don't bother me). your skin changes as you get older which botox will not change. if you get rid of some lines for a few months your skin will still reveal your age.

i see plenty of guys my age who look great and don't feel the need to get botox injections to feel good about themelves. sorry, i still think it is for women. especially since it is so temporary. getting botox makes me think of a dog chasing his tail, where he always ends up in same place.
