Soccer is not very popular in SoCal. We even have our own local team (San Diego Storm), but I have never in my life even seen a soccer game.

This is one reason why soccer is so popular up here. You can put your kid in community league soccer for about $150 per season. Compared to hockey, it's a hell of a deal!
