BodyFat % #'s

Slug & Strong,

They actually have about 10 or more body fat scales and a few with athlete modes. I bought the second most expensive home model they make. I bought it online for about %150.00 or so. They make one that is $10-$15 more but it didn't add any features I could use. After that they jump up to $400.00 and up over several thousand for their Professional models.

I have the BF-558 model that has an athlete mode. What's funny is if I put it in the Active Adult mode(not athlete mode it shows I am 17-18% BF.

I guess I need to get one of those circus mirrors.

There's no way on Earth you could be 4.2% bodyfat and NOT have a 6 pack. Most people have 2-3% fat just around their internal organs, so at 4.2% you're basically a skeleton.
My abs show at around 14-15%, although I have very well developed ab muscles.

I agree with Dial...if you have any abs at all they should start to show at around 10% in most people.

I think I`m like roughly 14% BF, but I don`t use any of that stuff. I just have my wife look at me every morning and say " you are a ripped 5% bodyfat" and if she does`nt... I beat her down.

HA HA HA Just kidding, I make her say 6%.

She`s looking over my shoulder as I type, is`nt she? damn

I read something interesting recently...

For every inch you lose off of your waist, you've dropped 4% body fat

From my experience, that sounds about right too

you're right... it probably wouldn't apply at the extremes of weights, but I think for most of us it'd be about right... it is for me
