Bob Costas on Gun Control

a9nwv8icaaezsnu.jpeg

I want to put the knife in him, and see whats going on in there when i turn it

Costas talks about his Sunday Night Football gun comments with Lawrence O'Donnell:

The Last Word

Costas is such a doosh. He's such a pious little prick fuck I just want to punch him through the screen every time i see him. He's not entirely wrong about everything he said, there is an UBER annoying gun culture in this country and I do think 85% of the country is mentally completely unfit to own a pellet gun. But listenign to him walk back his statements with talk of how many overly aggressive young men in the NFL own guns who are subject to violence on the field....yeah and how many times has one of em done something like what Belcher did? Nearly 100% of the guys in the NFL own some kind of firearm, their track record with criminal behavior with these guns is pretty darn good considering where most of em come from. So Costas loses most of his arguments on me. If Belcher had some sort of past criminal or mental health issues and he was still able to purchase a firearm, now there's a problem.

criminals love gun control.

and belcher would have beat his ho to death if he didnt have a gun.

i'm really surprised no one is screaming roid rage

He always seemed like a pompous P.C. douchebag.

please elaborate
I don't think that THAT person should have had a gun. I'm not sure what's not clear. I'm not saying that everyone shouldn't have a gun, just that one.

The rule has always been to do whatever you want until you hurt someone else. He hurt someone else.

Funny thing is, unless someone goes on a murderous rampage or is a public figure, gun crimes don't make a blip on the screen. You get some psycho that hacks a few people to death with an axe or a knife, it makes national news. Without doing any research, the only serial killers I can think of that used guns are Son of Sam and the DC Snipers.

I don't like guns outside of shooting them for sport, but after seeing how people can be after katrina and living in area that could have something similar happen (quake), it would make sense for me to have something to have something to take care of my daughter.

I dunno. I could see his point about that person not having a gun.

Cause he was a black man? :) j/k..you walked into that one.

It doesn't seem like a "gun culture" issue but a "NFL culture" issue. I would be interested in seeing a comparison between NFL players and the general population in regard to gun violence.

I can understand the first point, but I'm thinking that gun crimes don't make the news because it's not news anymore. It's rather common place, no?

It's always sad when people live in places that are a little dangerous and don't have a way out. I'm fortunate enough to have some savings to leave if things get bad around me.

High profile shootings always get reported nationally and all shootings get reported locally. EVERY school shooting gets high profile treatment which leads people to think schools are rife with gun violence; They're the safest public place for a child if you look at the data.

Haha! Yes, I guess I did.

I'm not even sure that it's a 'NFL' culture per see. Global statements are always suspect. It's like say that all guns are bad. Or that all women are bitches....well....

I completely agree that my statement about letting "that person" have a gun is a problem because it can only be done is retrospect and after they've committed a crime.

You've wandered into the philosophical world of freedom. In a free society people will make bad decisions and commit crimes with firearms but they are the tiny minority.

java does this really surprize you, a proud member of the bed-wetting obama worshipping mainstream media?
million vials of joose says costas has armed up security, as do most of the lib tarded anti-gun crusaders for equality.
their lives are too important so they need the protection

Oh yeah, Rosie O'Donnell went off years ago about guns but she had a private bodyguard that was armed.
