BMW X5 or M.Benz ML350

X5 no doubt. Even if I'm a MB fan and owner, the X5 is definitely a best deal, more features, less expensive and looks better IMHO.

I disagree , the MB is a class machine , I don't care where they built it (I think somewhere in Alabama actually) ,the design is impeccable and novel. A funny story is that when the German engineers were over there setting up the plant , the floor technicians had them put a dime in a huge jar for every time the Germans said "must" , e.g. "You MUST do it like this". That's Germans for ya , everythin by the book. The only downside is that they will probably upgrade the design before too long and the market will follow them (hence the car won't look bang up to date) - its normally an 8-10 year cycle for the Stuttgart boys. The X5 will probably hold its value better in that regard.

x5 looks a lot better imo, but if it was me I would get a Range rover, the porshe cayenne's look crap imo.

BMW X5... it is an amazing ride. I wish I had the fundage to afford one... but then again... I shouldn't place that much emphasis on a car... I'd probably only get one of these if i had a ton of loot laying around.

the mx5 uses the 5.0 v8 from the M5 sedan

why not look into the ML55, make it more equal (5.5 v8 from the S55 sedan)

then there is the RX 470 (4.7 v8 from CS470 coupe)

my uncle has the mercedes....car drives like a pussy car.....drives like an american built it....steering is loose and you have to jam on the brakes......im a fan of sports feel.....the x5 is suppose to drive just like the 5 series sedan.....but its not suppose to be very good off road
