Bmw 330xi awd

i have a 2005 330xi & 2008 335xi

not hype--does not get any better in the price range and then some

part & labor are expensive and the engine & drive train are tuned so perfectly if something is not perfect, you will know i
t

climbs Colorado Rockies w/Blizzaks ($550 from tirerack) like the road is dry

Rated higher than the mercedes, if U don't mind me asking how much ball park are u spending?
I would get like the audi a4 instead. I like Audi's though.
That is a fast car, the beemer. Rates high as well.

Eddy, if I had that dough, I would have gotten this, instead.
Still, highest rated car is 330 in its class.

why you got 2 bro?

2003 MODEL.

any good or just hype?

3.0L L6 DOHC 24 V, 6 cyl.
get a mercedes instead...i had bmw 318 and 328 ,325...now i have a clk500 and it tops any bmw i have had...great cars

Mercedes drive like heavy cars.

BMW are tight tuned machinery.

Audi - not good value

Unless you need the ability to drive in the snow, go for a 2wd BMW. The AWD isn't really balanced for performance and handling the way an Audi Quattro or Subaru WRX or STI is.

I disagree--it depends on driver skill (just disengage the DSC and its back to the stone age albeit better for highly skilled drivers) and the Subaru is not in the same league as the BMW nor the same target demo--

I prefer an automatic w/DSC on--in spite of 5 days at Skip Barber when I was younger....too much traffic and unexpected crap out there

I think what he was sayin is BMW AWD tech. might not be where subaru and Audi are.
My mom owns a brand new Infiniti G35x AWD and it's awd is teh suck compared to my wifes subaru, I know this because the subaru use to be my parents car and they told me.

Audi and Subi's AWD systems are unsurpassed and have YET to be topped

BMW 330s w/awd are a much better all around car, performance, ammentities, trim, etc

I would say that a CLK500 would top a 325...it should!

I have a simple z3 and love it. Even my small engine will twist and turn those rear tires when I want to have fun.

I just meant the AWD on the BMW xi models doesn't add anything to the dry-weather performanced of the car. Well, I dunno about the E96 cars, but the E46 xi models had increased ground clearance compared to the 2wd models, a higher roll-center which made them not quite as good for everyday sport driving.

Now, if you NEED the AWD for snow, that's a different story.

I agree, but I think you'd get housed by an STI

yea, but in Colorado the state cops just love the WRX---the bmw (mine is silver) looks like any old sedan--but they see that hood scoop on the WRX and they find a reason to pull it over.
