So i follow a ckd diet pretty religiously. Last couple weeks I stafted noticing hot flashes, anxious feeling, headaches, etc. More specifically, I notice tonight (carb night) that right after eatinga whole pizza iI got really hor and a headache started. I also ate half a cake. Earlier i had ham and eggs with cheese and no ill effects.

So I check my blood sugar levels about 2 hours after all the carbs and actually, I was still eating carbs, my bsl was at 74. It should have been around 110-120 minimum. I wonder if my body has started either producing too much insulin and or become more efficientat using insulin. Not too long ago, I was close to being type II diabetic. WTF? I don't mind feeling hot, but the headaches suck worm nuts!

Chesty ,when you start feeling hot thats hypo comming on. Believe me .I've been there.

What are you taking?

I Know you're doing the CKD DIet ,but more info is needed.

I would definitely suggest more monitoring so you can get a really good read on whats going on.

as soon as you feel yourself starting to go hypo take a reading.. and then you need to get an understanding of what foods will bring your sugar up and at what rate.. and for how long.

Radar, as far as stack, deca/eq/test, just started tren tonight. I drink tons of water and I am in the process of slowly bumping up my protein. I am taking a multivitamin and D3 cause its dark all the time where I live right now. I am monitoring my blood sugar levels. The weird thing is, they are in the low 70's when I get that hot prickly heat feeling, and at other times between meals they go as high as 122 down to 70. Like all over the place. The weirdest though is when I eat they decrease the first few hours before they start to rise. Strange. Never had that before. I'm gonna start increasing my calories too. Once last year, I was in walmart, and started getting tunnel vision and my brain was in a fog, I ran to candy isle, got two boxes of bottle caps and didn't start feeling better till I practically finished one of the boxes. Haven't been that bad since, but that is weird. I've had my pancreas/liver/adrenal glands all checked out by NASA and my endocrinologist and all was fine, so no tumors or cancers. Must be my diet.

I'm wondering if my body is so used to the ckd diet now, that it just can't handle carbs any more. If I stay with very complex carbs like veggies its not so bad, but any refined stuff like breads, pastas, etc not so good.

Shoot me a pm Radar if you need to know more specifics etc.

Good Luck Chesty! I hope you figure this out.

Have you been losing weight on ckd recently?
