To this day, I will NOT go into my mother's purse or my gf or my sister. That is just something that you don't do. I get annoyed with my husband when I tell him to get something from my purse and he hands it to me and tells me to go get it. LOL I just forget about "the rule" because I trust him with my life.

I must respectfully disagree. I have been cheated on BIGTIME and have never felt the need to go through someone's shit.

My take is that you get my trust until you do something to make me question you. And by that, it is something BIG not bullshit like the phone rang and you didn't want to take the call when we are simply "seeing one another" for a bit... not unless there was a SPOKEN COMMITMENT. Then I would verbally question you and ask you to hand me to phone so I could talk to the person myself. If at that juncture you give up the jig that YOU LIED when we were committed I would simply hand you your walking papers and call it a lesson learned.

Jealous behavior is a TOTAL TURN-OFF for me. I won't tolerate it PERIOD.
