BIG weekend, wish me luck!

Dropping the BIG question to my girlfriend this weekend I finally made up my mind about this earlier today. That only leaves me 5 days to find the ring of her dreams, haven't decieded how I'm going to do it yet, something simple yet romantic. And yes I will definetly plan on asking for her father's permission first. Wish me luck!
 
I don't mean to be a douchebag (ok, I do); but weren't you thinking of leaving her for someone else that seems to match you better?

Thanks for bringing that up douchbag. Yea, I was faced with a moment of weakness, the thing is my girlfriend and I have been on and off for the last 4 years (on valentines day), and she lives 200mi away which has caused a huge strain on our relationship throughout the years but the fact that we have remained together speaks volumes. Anyhways, during an 'off again period' I think I tried filling in the void with someone I had met and shared common interests with (nothing physical happpened). Well I wisened up and think it took that slight detour to realize what I had right in front of me the whole time.

Hey bro. I'm just looking out for you. Marriage is no joke and it costs a hell of a lot if it doesn't work out. If you ever thought of leaving, then either you're hella rich or got a nice pre-nup. BTW, get a pre-nup.

200miles? WTF? How the hell did you get her preggers at that distance? :D

lmao, you're not a douche, you're just keeping it real. As for the pre-nup, I love the idea but this girl can be pretty sensitive, not sure how she'll go for it. Talk about a mood killer " I love you so much and want to spend the rest of my life with you....oh by the way sign here so you don't take all my shit when or if our marriage fails misearably."

Orb. A prenup is definately a mood killer. But the divorce rate is 55%. Don't you believe in insurance?

Hell yes I do, I've always vowed to have one when I got married (unless it was into money :verygood: ) Just very wary as to how I would approach something like that. I do plan on doing it but shit that's going to make for an uncomfortable week or two.
