Big Boy Toys: "Lotus"(car)... what do you guys think about it??

BRR - Lotus is nice, but overpriced IMO. You should look into the S2000, a very similar car that costs $33,000. Small, tight handling, great brakes, and pretty good speed.
Here is a pic of mine

I think it looks great.

I once had a celica with minor mods and it was a tiny sports car.

It didn't bother me one bit if people thought I was in a chick car because that thing was hella fun to drive especially with the curvy roads we have where I live.

Here's a pic.

What do you guys think about a Lotus for a weekend car? They seem well priced for a toy...

But there's a like a 1-2 year waiting list unless you buy someone's slot.

but he is an Administrator for George Spellwin. He could have one delivered today with the snap of his finger.

The major strength of the car is that it is the best handling production car in the world...at any price. A few mods to the engine will yield huge results because of the light weight. 300 horsepower in this car is like 5-600 in any other car. They're pretty cool no doubt. If you're one chromosome away from being a midget you'll fit in one no prob.

Same engine is used in Celica and Corolla/Matrix I think. 1.8 liter AVVT. So you know it's reliable.

the problem with that engine is it's limited mod capabilities.....I had a 2000 Celica GT-S....loved that car.....it was light as hell, quick, could take corners like nothing....but I think I prefer my turbo and AWD

The "S" screams, and it'll out handle most cars on the road. Getting in and out of it's a pain, but when you're in it, you have a decent amount of room. Better cars for $50K though. S4, 335i, an '05 Cayenne S...

Ariels are cool as shit.

My problem with all of the above cars is I think I'm bigger than the car.LOL

You'll forever be limited to motorcycles and German sports cars if you want to go fast then. The Germans seem to know how to leave enough room for a large driver.

There's a few of them out here - they are REALLY REALLY tiny - they make a mini cooper look like a mid size SUV - I like a bit more beef personally.

But who cares what we think...

I did talk to a man who had bought "his toy" and he said he absolutely loves it and when he walked away his wife said he'd waited a long time to get it and he really does enjoy it.

Corvette's have a good amount of room. The only german sporty car I've ever driven was an audi and fuck it was the most cramped thing I've driven. Most german cars I've been in are great in terms of leg room but a little cramped in the hip width.
