Big Blast tasting a little burnt

With my other protein powders I will typically make 3-4 shakes at one time and put the blender in the fridge. I typically have one for bfast, lunch, 4pm and post workout. Well for some reason with the big blast after refrigerating it has a strong burnt taste. Is there any reason why? Or is it because I have the flavorLESS?

I have no idea why this would be the case except to say, who the fuck leaves a shake in the frig? Make it fresh bro. I takes 30 seconds.
 
I've never experienced this... But I always carry all my powders around in a baggie and just use a shaker when i need to make the shake
 
Well I run a tight schedule and it takes a few minutes to make a shake. I'm not talking about leaving it refrigerated no longer than 8 hours. I have 30 minutes for lunch and have more than just fixing a shake to do. The flavorless has a rank taste regardless but the burntness just adds to it. I manage the burnt taste just curious if it was the flavorless that I recieved. I'm not downing the quality of your product so chill. I'm just looking for options if there are any.

So you're using the bland and not adding any flavor? Why? I can't vouch for that. I'd imagine it wouldn't taste fantastic. The flavoring is everything. The flavorless mixes well with frozen fruit, though I'm not sure how that would hold up refrigerated.

Its not burnt.....its bitter.

I made a shake for morning and stuck it in the fridge. (flavorless) it was SO bitter, I had to dump it out. I really tried to choke it down. But I couldnt do it. I refridgerated another one for like 3 hours and it was headed in the same direction but I just plugged my nose and slammed it.
You have to drink them when you make them. Or shortly thereafter.
I make one, go to the gym and drink it right after. Never wait more than an hour anymore.
 
Realize, we've done everything to make the SPS palatable. At first, it was as bad as hydrolized, but we got it to where it's at least BLAND. Adding CF whey makes it bit sweeter. And it also has WHOLE egg. So, yeah, it's not wonderful on its own but when mixed with the flavorings and natural sugars it's surprisingly good. I think the Tropical orange and double chocolate are delicious.

The new GEAR caps will have SPS plus hydrolized with no flavoring so it'll be very concentrated. But if opened up one of the caps and tasted it, believe me , it'd be like a the taste of death.

So those are the 2 options -- caps, or a shake with really good flavoring. It is not meant to be taken on its own.

In the end, the results make it worth while.
 
Well when you have a gallon of protein shake it's kinda hard to drink it right away lol... Buttt Yea, I don't waist. I have taken some pretty nasty proteins in the past! I ordered the chocolate but PF sent me flavorless instead. Not a big deal, I didn't feel like waiting 10 more days for me to send it back and receive the correct order. I tried adding fruits, I tried adding cocos and peanut butters but it just seems that it makes it more to take down. SOOO I deal with the flavorLESS and just down it. I will be getting the chocolate next time and I will double confirm.

so basically if it does get bitter after being in the fridge then its the SPP doing it? I have found that if I make one and leave it at room temp for an hour or two, its still fine. It just seems to be the cold that changes it.

They probably would have just corrected the order and let you keep what they sent. It's common policy not to accept returns on edible products.
 
Oh well, shit happens right? I'm not one that looks for free items. Just next time I will make sure they understand to send chocolate lol. And if they don't, they will lose my business and any word of mouth. Nothing major nah mean

Just add some Sugar FRee Nestles Quick and a spoonful of Cocoa. It'll taste fine.
 
Flavorless...why

I have no experience with flavorless, but I have noticed as I get to the bottom of my 10 lbs. chocolate flavor Big Blast the powder kind of smells like fish food (not Ben and Jerry's)
