The best US based carrier is Verizon hands down, but it is difficult to take Verizon phones to Europe and some other parts of the world and use them because they used different technologies. Newer phones will be multi mode and support WCDMA as well.

I'd go verizon bro, support US technologies.

Dunno about "plans", all I care about is service. Hands down in the US (dunno bout abroad) VERIZON is the only provider as far as I am concerned.

Was a die-hard AT&T user till I got pissed off at all the areas where I couldn't get service, most notably in any home I lived in. Nothing worse than having to step outside to make a freaking call all the time. With Verizon, never had this issue regardless of the state.

I think he is talking about internet service, not cell phones, unless I'm completely misunderstanding this thread.....

For cell service, I've had sprint for awhile now, and never lost signal (in the midwest and northern midwest)....

I did live in a basement apartment for a bit and had to go outside to make calls, which pissed me off beyond belief, but you do what ya gotta do....

basement shit is f'ed up, I had to leave my phone on the window ledge to even know if someone was calling me....
