Basically anyone who was around back in the day and is still kickin now, Ice Cube, Ice T, DMC, Dre, Public Enemy, these guys paved the way for the guys that are big now.
But as for absolute favourite, Ice Cube all the way, been listening to him since "NWA and the Posse" back in 1986", his lyrics are awesome.

My man, you left off some heroes. KRS-ONE, Big Daddy Kane, BIG, Melle Mel, Redman. I have a question for you as well. Why do you have 2 Pac, Snoop Dogg, Ice T and Ice Cube even on that list? Barring all of that, the greatest MC of all time is Rakim.

I would agree and say Ice-t is the best of all time. Invented Gangster rap has loads of shit out, done loads for rap, clever lyrics amazing freestyler...all round the best imo.

Pac is one of the best and should be on the list. Saying that, so should big baddy kane and krs 1. Eminem should'nt. Ice cude is also well up there with the best ever, not so sure about snoop dogg, hes good but there are better choices for best ever. I would agree with putting biggie, krs and kane up there and taking off eminem.

There is a problem with this poll. The best rapper of all time isnt on there. Can We Say NOTORIOUS BIG. Dam biggy was by far the best there was and ever will be. For him not to be put on the list is ridiculous.

Snoop has some good mainstream hip-hop but he's no way a good raper. I doubt he could freestyle. Same thing with Dre. no offence to all you Dre fans but I was one pissed off dude when he left Eazy-E to join Snoop and Death Row. Eazy-E was Da Shit !
