Simple question really. Hopefully someone has some experience with a "working cure" so to speak.

Over the years the stretch marks have gotten larger and quite noticible. They are very ugly and I really hate them. Almost makes me with I was much more careful.

Does anyone have any recommendations for seriously reducing the appearence?

cocoa butter helps with stretch marks due to womens' pregnancy.

Just tan. IMO they're battle scars. It means you grew so much your skin couldnt keep up. EVERY bodybuilder gets them (at least the big guys).

I was hoping someone would say this... I did that at nights and rubbed cocoa butter on them throughout the day. Worked pretty well....

They also make a vitamin E cream, available at any drug store. Either way works.

Shea butter helps fade them and tanning also helps hide them as well. Other then that, theres not much else you can do. I got them pretty bad in the armpit area and inner bi's but they have faded with time.

stretch marks are like a SCAR , they may look better with time , but they WILL NEVER go away.

I could care less about any biceps , shoulders stretch marks , it means you are a big mofo , period . I do have them all over my bis too . And some in the shoulders .

Now , I do have stretch marks all over my abs ( yes just like pregnant women have ) , it is sad and I hate it . It was from the time when I was a KID like 16 years old , I got so fat that my skin couldn't hold up . Now , after I reach my desired bodyfat level , I am going under the knife to remove all the excess skin hanging in my abs and the surgery will also remove all the stretch marks .

I wouldn't do any surgerie to get rid of stretch marks in the bis or shoulders .

SERIOUS CURE: look for a good Dermatologist (the real doctor, not the esthetician) and inquire about "Titan" laser treatment. Its expensive, but it seriously works.

It also tightens loose skin from weight loss, kills hair follicles, and removes scars (including keloids) and tattoos.

My doc runs about $150 per treatment. Noticable results the first time.

>>> WOWOWOWO that shit is good to know , I was thinking in trying to make my skin the tighter I could so I could use an endoscopic abdominoplasty , but that type of abdominoplasty would not REMOVE my STRETCH MARKS . So I was thinking : Now , I found a way to ged rid of the loose skin without leaving a scar , but I still need to find a way to get rid of the stretch marks .

Looks like I just found .

How good is this titan laser treatment ? I don't care if I have to catch a plane and go to USA to do it . 150 U$ per treatment , how long between each session ? How many sessions needed to get rid of it 100 % ?

try cocoa butter.

Bro, just google "Titan laser treatment". Or dermatologist in your area. Typically it is performed by D.O.'s or plastic surgeons.

There's plenty of docs in Brazil, and the good ones will have the newest tech.

The doctor will tell you how frequently you can do it. It all depends on how fast your skin normally heals. If you are a non-smoker and non-drinker you can probably go weekly.

I just did a google search and all the places that I found only says that titan laser will help TIGHTEN your skin - by the way I saw some before and after pics and I was impresses - makes you look younger and so on ...

but they don't mention titan laser for STRETCH MARKS .

Titan was designed for old ladies to get laser face lifts. But it works deep and stimulates growth. My doc did it as a trial on my scars, and it worked very well. Go get a consultation, and ask them what they think about it.

It feels like getting a tan from the inside - out.

yeah that what I just read . this shit works extremely well for loose skin , from the before and after pics I was impressed .

If it works that well also on stretch marks , this shit should be a gift from god.

How bad is your SCAR ? How improved it was ? stretch marks are basically scars , if it works with scars , it works with stretch marks .

>> they won't fade , like I said , it is just like a SCAR . The only way to get rid of them is by laser treatment ( titan laser ? ) , and the other way is to have abdominoplasty . they remove all the extra skin that you have and also all the stretch marks .

The downside of this surgery is that it leaves you with a big SCAR from hip to hip and the recovery is a bitch .

there is also the mini-abdominoplasty , the scar is smaller and recovery is better . Also endoscopic abdominoplasty won't leave any scars but results are not always that good and it won't remove stretch marks .

they are SUPPOSED to fade to white and shrink, ive seen it happen on my brothers over the years, but mine have stayed the same or got worse even though im in much better shape. Probly the weight fluctuation over these years, bulking and cutting.

Well noone has brought it up yet, so I will. Strivectin-SD is a topical skin cream (carried by GNC) that helps dissipate and shrink stretch marks, making them blend in with your natural skin. it doesn't work so well if you have "minor" stretch marks, but for those who have bright pink raining stretch marks, it can definately help. ive tried it because I was once 282lbs of fat. I never got "severe" stretch marks tho (very fortunate) and I had tried the cream and it didn't seem to help much. But I have a friend that was much lighter than me, but had horrific long pink stretch marks in the armpit and front delt area. I got some strivectin for him and it considerably blended in the skin tone to where I couldn't notice his stretch marks from far away. to me , that is a successful run with treating stretch marks. like others say, you can fully make them disappear. the downfall to this product is it costs about 130$ for an 8oz tube I believe. but, I think there are some cheaper versions of it that do the same thing.
