Best fighting style ever!

I never have even heard of this before. MMA was one of my favourite fighting styles, but i found this. Its more of self-defence but its extremely efficient.

Not sure if anyone has ever posted it here, but its called Krav Maga.

Here's a video -

Yeah, well that was just the example of what it is. The army and military people apparently are all trained in it. And its really effective in real life, like hostage situations, or if someone has a gun pointed to you or any sort of weapon.

It was started in Isreal for there anti-terrorist units and police depatments. Supposed to be effective , but ill stick with my Tai Chi/Xyngi/Bagua

all of that is what if someone grabs you. ill stick to boxing. something tells me this dude drops from a left hook just like a normal guy.

I feel like if it looks awesome, it's not as effective in real life. By the way, you guys should be detectives. That is most definitely choreographed, not to mention it says "Fight Choreography" at the opening of the video.

I think this instructor should pick volunteers willing to prove his system wrong, If he is a master than their should be no problem. We all know people strike, land and kick different, I was learning Akido and street fighting when I rolled wrong and kicked the person throwing me, that person began crying and complaining how I landed wrong, and that I should of rolled a certain way, the purpose of the exercise was for him to immobilize me, instead he was left hurt, this proves my point that nothing is full proof, you can only arm yourself with knowledge, admitting you have the best style is like saying you are unbeatable.

This video was choreographed to sell to none the wiser, the video was speed up too make fluid movements look a lot quicker.

Hand to Hand combat course are no different to Krav Maga, Krav Maga has developed it's techniques from martial arts systems that have been around for years.

You can't be a master of Krav Maga if you don't have competition or compete to prove yourself.

I believe that jumping up onto someone back and doing acrobatics is best left for circus professionals. No good fighter presents their hand to be grabbed, or throws a wind milling punch and turns their back on and opponent, if Krav Maga is so good, then you wouldn't be teaching students into bad habits, Most hand to hand combat courses will teach you to face the worst case scenario after learning basics. I do think Krav maga has its place, and it is mixed martial arts incorporated into no rules self defense.

krav maga all above posts are correct its a mix of ju jitsu aikido taekwondo karate boxing etc. most of these arts come from aiki jujitsu an art which hasnt been watered down over the years to make it into a sport the last original martial was aikido which was given to the west in the 6os approx n thats been watered down too fit in western ways aikido comes originally from aikijutsu as do many styles wich can b traced back 2 ancient jujitsu which then traced back 2 ancient chinese arts u cannot look at any art ancient or other wise n not see many other arts in there all arts are great there is no 1 style in particular better than an other it is the exponent of that art who makes it his own who makes it look so easy that people percieve it 2 b the best art there isnt 2 many of us in the world who takes his or her art 2 a personel level those who do make it look unbeatable. all arts were originally built for self defense n no matter how good u get any 1 can b beaten on any given day having a black belt does not guarantee u a win but it does give an advantage over most opponents so wot ever ure chosen art make it ure own so u can take it to truly better heights. here ends my rant, history lesson and psychology thanx 4 reading

I have always felt it's not the style but the stylist. I don't care what style you are, but if you have mastered your style and the psychological ability you are more than a head.

+1 on the Krav....its some intense shit...not a "take it easy on me" arts.
Students quickly find that its live hardcore, not some repetitive movement class. Tests are nearly full go. Not for the timid, you understand and respect its principles. Id say that Krav students are some of the most prepared for real life situations in comparison to other disciplines.

I agree...but who would only learn one style?
I remember a buddy of mine, 150lb wrestler, fought (got jumped by)
these two guys from my highschool, both very well trained boxers, won golden gloves and most every fight in their brackets.
My buddy took them to the ground one at a time, elbow to the jaw..good night first one...hip throw on second and it was over...
